The Ware Room
The Ware Rooms, named after Hand and Ware - the company that built the unique tin roof on The Mason Cottage, gets the best ocean breezes in the house. Located on the 2nd floor, this beautifully appointed spacious room has high ceilings and lovely antiques throughout. This is a favorite room for those guests celebrating a special occasion.

The Davis Suite
This beautiful suite features an antique brass queen size bed and many bright windows. The name of this 2nd floor suite memorializes both Wilber Davis Mason, Sr., the man who started The Mason Cottage in 1946 as a guesthouse, and his son Dave Mason, who lovingly restored much of the property and turned it into a full-service Bed and Breakfast Inn in 1982.

This lovely suite is named after Edward Warne, the original owner and builder of this property. Located on the 3rd floor, the windows in this suite showcase spectacular views of the ocean and the promenade. The adjacent sitting room features a gas fireplace, large flat screen TV and refrigerator.

Policies
- Reservations are highly recommended.
- A deposit of 50% of the total cost of the reservation is required to secure your reservation at the Mason Cottage. To do so, this amount will be charged to the specified credit card with the balance due upon arrival.
- A two night minimum stay on the weekends, during the summer-season and holidays is required.
- The Mason Cottage is an intimate Cape May Bed and Breakfast Inn and, consequently, cancellations affect us significantly.
- Cancellation Policy:
- All cancellations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
- Aside from the $25 fee, there are no other additional charges for room cancellations or package plan cancellations with at least 10 days advance notice.
- No-shows or cancellations made within 10 days of the arrival date will result in a charge equal to the first nights room charge or in the case of package plans... $150 per person.
- Refund Policy: Any guest canceling with at least 10 days advance notice, will be the refunded with a credit to the credit card used at the time of purchase within five (5) business days.
- Pet Policy: We do allow small to medium size dogs (under 60 lbs) in one pet friendly room; however, pets are not permitted in any of the public areas of the Mason Cottage. There is a fee of $35 per night plus taxes for any guest bringing their pet, as special arrangements need to be made for cleaning of the room. Any guest bringing a pet must make arrangements at the time the reservation is made. Guests are responsible for any damage or loss caused to guest rooms or furnishings by their pet.
- Children Policy: Well-behaved children 12 and over are always welcome at the Mason Cottage.
- ABSOLUTELY NO Open Flames permitted!: For the safety of everyone in the inn, the use of open flames (candles, incense, matches, lighters etc.) is STRICTLY prohibited. Any guest found using candles, incense, matches, lighters etc. will be asked to leave the inn without a refund. Please note - the inn has a very sensitive hardwired fire alarm system - the slightest amount of smoke will cause the alarm to go off and the fire department to be called.
- The Mason Cottage is Non-Smoking: For the same reasons mentioned above in our "No Open Flame" policy, there is a strict non-smoking policy at the Mason Cottage. This includes inside the inn, on the veranda, as well as the grounds around the inn. Any guest found smoking in their room will be asked to leave the inn without a refund.
- Check-in is 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Guests must arrange for late arrival.
- Check-out is by 11:00 a.m.
- Method of Payment Accepted: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Travelers Cheques, cash and personal checks are accepted.
- Rates are subject to applicable taxes and change without notice.
- All rates are based on double occupancy. For guests bringing a 3rd or 4th person, there is a $35 additional occupant charge per person/per day.
