    The Inn At The Shore - Belmar, New Jersey The Inn at the Shore is located within sight of the Atlantic Ocean and Belmar's wide beautiful beaches and boardwalk, and steps away from serene Silver Lake, home of the first flock of swans bred in America.

    The Inn is 55 miles from New York City, Philadelphia and Atlantic City, and 20 miles from Six Flags Great Adventure Theme Park. Belmar can be easily reached by car, NJ Transit trains or NY Port Authority buses.

    A charming Victorian home built Circa 1880, the Inn has been owned by Rosemary and Tom Volker since 1994. The Inn is cheerfully decorated with Victorian antiques (and not-so-antiques), floral fabrics and wall-coverings, ruffled curtains and quilts, teddy bears and angels!

     

    Guests love relaxing in our antique rocking chairs and gliders on our nostalgic wraparound porch drifting back to the seashore of yesteryear or lounging in their living room with entertainment center and fieldstone fireplace, a cozy area to watch a video from our collection, or listen to soothing music while reading a novel from our library.

    Directions: Garden State Parkway to Exit 98. Route 138 East to Route 35 North. At 5th traffic light turn right on 8th Avenue. Follow to end, turn left on Ocean Avenue. Proceed to Fourth Avenue, turn left and you'll find the Inn on the left, two blocks from the beach. Traveling north on the NJ Turnpike, take Exit 7A to Route 195 East or traveling south on the NJ Turnpike take Exit 11 to the Garden State Parkway and continue as above.
