Two guest living rooms with wood-burning fireplaces open to a shaded outdoor deck or patio providing a relaxing atmosphere no matter what the season. The large, gourmet kitchen is of particular interest to those who enjoy the art of cooking and the aroma of freshly baked breads, muffins, and afternoon treats. We offer a guest telephone for outgoing calls, TV, VCR, guest refrigerator, books, magazines, and board games in the common area on the lower level. The Cabernet Inn... elegant, romantic, and impeccably maintained. We cater to discerning travelers who appreciate exceptional service and accommodations.
Awake to the aroma of freshly-brewed coffee and Jessica's home-baked "Morning Glory". A full country breakfast, cooked to order, will be served in our intimate dining room. Our main courses include plain, blueberry or pecan pancakes, eggs any style, Texas-size French toast (a guest favorite), and oversized omelets filled with just about anything you could want. Some of our specials include Maple Walnut Stuffed French Toast, Tuscan Omelet, Lemon Blueberry French Toast or a Greek Omelet. Of course, no country breakfast would be complete without sausage or maple-smoked bacon. A selection of juices, herbal and regular teas, and our sparkling fresh mountain water accompany your breakfast. For those with food allergies or specific dietary needs, arrangements can be made with advanced notice.

The Cabernet Inn is within minutes of 13 ski areas and touring centers, more than 8 historical attractions, six golf courses, and scenic beauty beyond comparison. And for those who find shopping an aerobic adventure, Mt. Washington Valley’s renowned outlets including Settlers’ Green Outlet Village, boutiques, craft shops, art galleries and antique emporiums are enough to get the blood pumping!

It’s where New England’s highest peak at 6,288 feet stands majestically and beckons to all of us to enjoy its beauty and its challenges. It’s hard to imagine an outdoor activity that can’t be found here. And for a breathtaking view, just take a stroll 2 minutes away from the Inn to the scenic Intervale.
Winter’s magical beauty will leave you breathless with icy ledges and frosty peaks. The Inn is located directly on the trails of the Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring and Snowshoe Center. These trails offer groomed access to ideal cross country and snowshoeing terrain. There are even star gazing and full moon tours that can be combined with a stay at The Cabernet Inn.
For the non-skiers in the group, Mt. Washington Valley offers a myriad of outdoor activities. Enjoy sleigh rides and winter horseback trail riding. For those who enjoy ice, there’s ice skating, a world of ice climbing terrain (considered to be some of the best in the country), renowned ice climbing clinics and schools for everyone from the intimidated beginner to expert. And for those looking for the total outdoor winter adventure you can try dog sledding, snowmobiling or take a ride up Mt Washington on the Snow Coach.

How to Find Us
From Route 95 North
- Follow Route 95 North into New Hampshire
- Take Exit 4 (a left-hand exit) for the Spaulding Turnpike, Route 16 North, and the White Mountains
- Follow Route 16 North into the village of North Conway
- The Cabernet Inn is approximately 1 1/2 miles north of the center of the village on Route 16/302, on the left, with a large green and white sign out front. The Inn itself is burgundy in color with green shutters
From Route 93 North
- Follow Route 93 North into New Hampshire
- Take Exit 23 and follow Route 104 East toward Meredith
- In Meredith, pick up Route 25 East and follow it toward Ossipee and the junction of Route 16
As an alternate route, you may continue on Route 93 North to exit 32, which is Route 112 East, also called the Kancamagus Highway. Follow the “Kanc” to Route 16 North, and continue as below. (Note: The Kanc is very scenic, but full of twists and turns, and can be hazardous at night or in inclement weather.)
Follow Route 16 North into the village of North Conway
The Cabernet Inn is approximately 1 1/2 miles north of the center of the village on Route 16/302, on the left, with a large green and white sign out front. The Inn itself is burgundy in color with green shutters.
- The following shortcut will allow you to bypass a portion of Route 16 in North Conway when traffic is heavy heading into the village
- Follow Route 16 North past the intersection of Route 16 and the Kancamagus Highway (Route 112) into Conway
- At the traffic light by the “Echo Group” office park sign, turn left onto Washington Street
- At the fork, bear left onto West Side Road
- Follow West Side Road for 6.4 miles to the stop sign
- Turn right onto River Road
- Follow River Road for 1 mile to the traffic light by the Eastern Slope Inn
- Turn left onto Route 16 North
- Follow Route 16 North for 1.4 miles
