Start your morning meal with a choice of the daily breads or muffins, along with chef’s amuse, which is something small and tasty from the morning kitchen, followed by three choices of breakfast entrées, ranging from selections like the ones in our breakfast menu. Enjoy your morning meal the way it should be, with mountain views from our dining room, home-made breads, granola, pastries and a range of choices that should please any palate.

The Inn at Thorn Hill is an extraordinary place to celebrate, and we enjoy catering weddings and functions for couples and groups who desire a personal, unique and signature event that stands above the ‘cookie-cutter’ functions thrown at larger properties.
We pride ourselves in being the only four-diamond inn and restaurant in the Mt. Washington area, owed largely to our unsurpassed quality, elegance, cuisine, room amenities and service, and we carry this very important and very high level of commitment to excellence and service into all weddings and functions we have at the Inn at Thorn Hill. We will work very closely with you and your group to plan the function you envision, ensuring a personal experience for you and your guests that will be remembered for anniversaries to come.
Meal and Catering Options
Couples and groups planning events and weddings with us will work closely with our Innkeeper and chef to design menus for either traditional, plated dinner style function, or cocktail reception in what we call ‘station’ style, where the chef and kitchen staff are cooking food from the menu you choose, live in front of your guests. We coordinate all assemblage and set up for these events, and as a result, we expect to be in very close contact with our wedding couple or group planner throughout the planning process.
Event Locations on the Property
On property we have our intimate dining room which seats up to 75 people, and additional seating on our deck, in season. Our private dining room off our wine cellar seats up to 25 people comfortably, and we also have a small dining room off the main room which can seat up to 16 for a small dinner or event. In the appropriate months we can host events under a tent on our beautiful back lawn, usually accommodating up to 120 guests for a station event, making for a beautiful New England style outdoor party. Our outside functions have been some of the most enjoyable experiences for many of our guests, as the tent and grounds provide a unique way for the hosts to put their special signature on their party by having many specific setup choices like lighting, flowers, music and floor plan layout to ensure their visions are met and actualized.Policies
Weddings can be held with us anytime, except for foliage season. As we are a smaller, elegant inn, we do require that couples choose us as their ‘destination event’ for their wedding. This does mean that as the host, must ensure the rental of the entire inn for weddings and events over 20 people, unless previously discussed with the Innkeeper.
Deposits are taken for all large events, and all information and pertinent billing situations are set forth in the final contract, drafted after the menu and assemblage have been agreed upon by the couple, Innkeeper and Chef.
More Information
As all weddings at The Inn at Thorn Hill & Spa are personalized events, we do not have a set quotation of prices, although we do have examples of events, menus and assemblage that have been popular with past guests, and we are happy to forward them onto couples and groups looking to plan an event with us. Contact person for all events and group bookings would be the Innkeeper, and you can email directly queries to stay@innatthornhill.comattention: events/weddings for more information and to request a wedding brochure sent out to you. -

Our menu offerings in our dining room are thoughtfully paired with our wines by the glass and our flights of wine. Our flights enable guests to sample a trio of wines, each glass containing a two ounce pour. We offer a range of wines both traditional and new world, while maintaining a selection of 25 to 30 choices by the glass, as well as a rotating top fifty list of staff selections, favorites and reasonably priced bottles. We enjoy updating both lists seasonally, to accompany our chef's menu selections.
The inn continues to host wine dinners throughout the year. We're quickly approaching our 8th Wine Dinner being held May 4-6th 2012. These events were so well received that we now hold two wine weekends each year, in late fall and early spring. Our wine club is also enjoying tremendous growth and popularity, with over 200 members who have joined. These members dine with us often, and enjoy benefits including quarterly wine tastings and hors d’oeuvres in the Cooperage, a private tasting room attached to our wine cellar, as well as restaurant and bottle discounts in our dining room and lounge.
At the inn, we truly enjoy hosting these wine events as much as we enjoy bringing great things in bottles to our guests whenever we can. We sincerely hope to see you enjoying yourself and some of the great wines that we have been able to bring into the state and the Inn at Thorn Hill & Spa.
Stay tuned for our next Wine Weekend in December 2012!
