Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to Michael & Dawn for sharing their own secrets with BBOnline.com! Why do most travelers stay at your inn?
Most travelers stay with us when attending weddings in the area, or when visiting children at the 5 area summer camps, or just to explore our beautiful outdoors.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
We are known for our laid back hospitality and our French Toast Creme Brule. What makes us unique is that or inn is a Gothic Revival home, in the middle of nowhere. What I love most about our inn, is that at night you can not see another light around, and the stars are so vivid you think you can touch them.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
We are not a city, and that is the #1 reason to visit, peace, quiet, and solitude.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
"It's like going to visit my grandparents".
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
I can't tell you, it's a secret, you'll have to come and find out for yourself.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
Go the Wellington State Park and swim in Newfound Lake, one of the cleanest lakes in the world. Do what we call the 3 Notch ride, which takes you through Bear Notch, Crawford Notch, and Franconia Notch. All are breath taking.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
Sculptured Rocks State Park is just a half mile down the road.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
We are spoiled with many great restaurants in the area, but we recommend 2 in particular, Kathleen's Cottage, and the Italian Farmhouse.
Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?
Plymouth Regional Chamber of Commerce website plymouthnh.org is a good place to start.
How many rooms does your inn have?
We have 4 rooms. 2 share a bath and 2 have private baths. One of the rooms, Hunters Suite, can accommodate 6, great for families.
Do you accept pets?
We accept well behaved dogs that can get along with our black lab, Jewel. Dogs are not allowed to be left alone in the rooms.
