Christmas Traditions at The Rosewood Country Inn
Brunch at The Rosewood Country Inn -

Spring...
Beautiful gardens, flowering trees, plants, greenery. Visit many historical gardens all over New Hampshire.Summer...
New London Playhouse, concerts, golfing, antiquing, boat cruises, Mt. Sunapee Chairlift, biking, fishing and country fairs. Enjoy our gardens, croquet, or lemonade under our apple tree by the brook.
Autumn...
Covered bridges over rock-filled streams. Pristine church steeples against blue skies. Experience every color nature has to offer. Hike Mt. Kearsarge for a truly spectacular view! Return to the inn for hot mulled cider and to warm by the fire.
Winter...
The Tavern Room windows glow with candlelight and the air is pungent with wood smoke. It is the kind of place that beckons you to hurry inside on a snowy night. The fireplaces blaze brightly and the candles cast flickering shadows. Snuggle up in an overstuffed chair with a good book in front of a crackling fireplace. Mt. Sunapee and Pat’s Peak are all within minutes of the inn, snow shoe or cross country from the front door on our woodland trails. For the not-so-adventurous there’s ice skating or a romantic sleigh ride nearby. -

As business increased buildings were enlarged and cottages were added. At one time as many as eighty-five guests could be accommodated. Entertainment was provided by a bowling alley, a dance hall, golf course, and a casino. In addition to the house, tents were provided on raised floorings set among shade trees."

The Rosewood's dining room has spectacular views of the gardens, pond and waterfall. What a wonderful way to start off the morning! Not only does Chef Lesley use vegetables and herbs grown on-site, there is also a strong focus on local ingredients. The Rosewood uses local cheeses and fresh-from-the-farm eggs, and maple syrup made right from the Inn's sugar bush. Be sure to check out their on-line recipes and Chef Lesley's two cookbooks when visiting the Inn.

Weekend Destination WeddingIf you dream of a romantic setting where time stands still and graciousness is a way of life, The Rosewood Country Inn is the perfect venue for your wedding or civil union. In Victorian times weddings were grand affairs with romance, love and tradition being an integral part of the celebration. Today, couples often choose smaller and more intimate affairs. Whatever your dream, creating an elegant and stylish event with personal details and creativity is our goal. Here at the Rosewood Country Inn, we can arrange the perfect wedding or civil union for you. Ceremonies can be outside in our Victorian gazebo overlooking the pond and waterfall, or candlelit by a romantic fireplace. We have information on churches, Justice of the Peace, caterers, florists, and photographers to customize your wedding or civil union. We specialize in special events for two to seventy-five guests.
To make your wedding or civil union as special as it should be, the Rosewood Country Inn has eleven luxurious guest suites decorated in period antiques. Nine of our rooms have fireplaces and four suites have "Jacuzzis-for-two". Destination Weddings can be much less expensive than a large traditional wedding and easier to plan too. By having all the elements of the wedding already planned out with a small wedding package, the couple knows the total price up front and can budget accordingly. The Destination Wedding package that includes lodging, ceremony site, Justice of the Peace, dinner site, photography package, champagne toast and wedding cake saves the couple both time and money. The planning is made easy and stress free. This gives the couple the opportunity to spend their time enjoying each other's company instead of stressing over every detail of the wedding.
Room Requirements: To ensure privacy for this special weekend, we do require a booking of all eleven rooms. A two night minimum stay is required for any room booked on the weekend (Friday and Saturday). In the event you need additional lodging we will provide you with a list of local lodging facilities.
Destination weddings: Our signature wedding is a true destination event, in which the inn and its grounds are yours alone. No other guest will be permitted on site during your event, ensuring you remain the complete focus of our attention. Our staff is dedicated solely to you. Once you and your guests arrive at our door, you need not leave. From welcoming wine and cheese on Friday evening, through the wedding ceremony and reception, and culminating in a lovely farewell Sunday morning breakfast, you are our priority.
Weekend destination weddings are our most requested option, and are available throughout the year. Arrive on Friday to a welcoming reception and rehearsal party. Saturday after breakfast your guests will enjoy the inns amenities and surrounding area while you prepare for a fabulous day. After your ceremony, dance and celebrate into the evening. You can ease into Sunday with our included three course breakfast, and enjoy time to farewell your guests without rushing. One-night destination weddings in which the inn is yours alone from arrival through the following noon are generally available Sunday through Thursday.

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed,
Something...Green?A wedding is one of the most important days in a couple's life. If you care about ecology and the environment, why not integrate your principles into your wedding? Going green doesn't mean you have to compromise on your big day, though. Making socially conscious choices for your wedding doesn't have to break the bank. Even if you can't go all green, little changes can make a big impact. Our green weddings give you the opportunity to enhance your wedding by contributing to conservation. By taking a look at the bigger picture, you can move beyond the usual waste and consumption to create a truly personal, moving and sustainable celebration that your guests will remember for years.
Green savings show up in the setting offered by Rosewood. One of the easiest ways to honor the planet is by using the great outdoors as the backdrop. In spring, summer and fall, there's no need for additional flowers or floral arrangements. The inn's landscaped grounds do all the work. In the winter months, beginning right after Thanksgiving until January 1, the inn is decorated for the Christmas holidays. During the remainder of the winter, a "Winter Wonderland" theme is offered where every part of the wedding décor is done in white, including candlelight, hundreds of twinkling lights and white linens throughout. The ceremony can be performed by candlelight.
The inn is set in nature. There will be no cars honking in the background, and no bright lights and big city noise as the couple says their vows…although there might be the occasional deer or other wildlife wandering by while the photos are being taken. The Rosewood Country Inn is certified as an official Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.
Not only is a Rosewood Inn wedding intimate and economical, it's great for the environment in many ways. The Rosewood Inn can connect the wedding couple to a caterer that uses locally sourced ingredients or a local photographer where it's possible to have all your photos done digitally. This minimizes the use of toxic chemicals and paper in developing, and you can be sure that the only prints made are the ones you want.
Couples can also plan an eco-honeymoon with all that New Hampshire has to offer. Enjoy our granite mountains laced with walking and horseback trails, sparkling lakes and rivers that lure paddlers and fishermen, beautiful beaches, vibrant cities and idyllic small towns. New Hampshire has lots to offer: great outdoors and activities, rich history, a lively arts and cultural scene, warm hospitality and tax-free shopping.
