Introduction
Read More
The Dudley House B & B is a wonderful well preserved colonial lady 220 yrs old. She was built around the time of George Washington's presidency by Danial Dudley after he came home from fighting in the revolutionary war. He raised his family here and the family cemetary is on the property where he is laid to rest. The home was updated about 30 yrs ago with everything brought up to present standards, but the warmth and comfort of your surroundings have not changed. We fell in love with the property 14 yrs ago when we found it quite by accident while on a trip to visit the area. We felt as if we had come home and followed that feeling here. Imagine our surprise when, after moving in, we found that Danial was an ancestor! After that everything made perfect sense. We enjoy sharing that feeling with our guests as they make themselves comfortable and also feel so very much at home here. They come as strangers and leave as friends. We would like to share that sense of welcome with you our future guests when you can take some special time for yourselves. Our motto has always been "small enough to make you feel at home" and our past guests seem to feel that we do.We offer three bedrooms with full country breakfast, surrounded by nature's splendor on a quiet country road!

We serve a full country breakfast which features our own farm fresh eggs, maple syrup, homemade jams and jellies. Our breakfasts are not fancy, but no one ever leaves the table hungry. In the summer, when the weather is nice, guests can opt to eat out on the deck or walk out to the gardens or sit on the back porch with a nice cup of fresh ground coffee or herbal tea to wait for breakfast. We can accommodate dietary restrictions with prior notice.

Relax in our living room with fireplace, read or just sit and watch the fire on cold nights and visit with other guests. There is also a second living room with TV/VCR and views of the grounds and woods. Sit out on our glassed-in porch and sooth your muscles in the hot tub. Take a stroll in our beautiful gardens and listen to all the different birds that summer here. Across the street we have a sugarhouse, where we are always willing to show guests how sap becomes the great syrup they enjoy at breakfast. If it happens to be boil time from February 15th to March 23rd, the guests can take some maple syrup home with them.
