Evelyn's Room

This room is named after Leisa's mother, Evelyn. She was a "Rosie the Riveter" during WWII welding tanks and later, after moving to Nevada, she became a nurse. Even though this is our smallest room, guests describe this room as very comfortable and cozy. You enter the room through a private entrance on the courtyard. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower.

Marilyn's Room

While filming the Misfits in nearby Dayton, Marilyn Monroe stayed at the Inn. Marilyn's Room is named in her honor. Sunbeams stream throughout this upstairs room in the afternoon. There is a hide-a-way twin bed so the room can sleep three, an extra person charge applies if used. The bathroom has a shower.

Maggie Belle's Room

Pat's grandmother, Maggie Belle, is the namesake of this room. She was a registered nurse and the daughter of California pioneers. This downstairs room is distinguished by a bay window which overlooks the courtyard. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower.

Edith's Room

A renowned cook and innkeeper, Edith Palmer began the Inn back in 1948. Edith's room is named in her honor and it is one of the most requested rooms. The morning sun will gently greet you. The old iron and brass bed in this upstairs room has been in Virginia City for well over a century. The bathroom is of generous size and has a bathtub/shower.

Jim Fair Room

The south facing window in this downstairs room overlooks the historic Fourth Ward School below on C Street and the west facing window has a view of hillside gardens where many fruit trees grow. It is to the rear of the house and guests who have stayed in this room request it again and again.

Sun Mountain Suite

Nestled against Sun Mountain, the afternoon sun lights up these rooms and since the windows face west, the colors of the sunset which usually draws from the whole color spectrum can be enjoyed. This suite has a bedroom, a private bath, and living-kitchenette area. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, and a double hide-a-bed in the living area. The kitchenette is equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave oven.

Sugarloaf Suite

Overlooking the Sugarloaf Mountain, the morning sun greets you, usually with a spectacular sunrise. This suite has a bedroom, a private bath, and living-kitchenette area. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, and a queen hide-a-bed in the living area. The kitchenette is equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave oven.

    Edith Palmer House

    There are four guest rooms in this building which was built in 1863 along with the Cider Factory, a rock building to the rear of the house. The office, the parlor, and the breakfast room are also located in this house. Each of the four rooms has a queen bed and a private bath. Rates range from $99 to $159 per night for two people.

    Storey House

    Built in the 1870's, this building has a family suite upstairs in the front for your stay. Breakfast is not included with the suites. Housekeeping is not provided except for clean towels daily. Each suite is set up for 4 people, but can accommodate more for an additional charge. Rates are $99 to $159 plus tax, or $500/week+tax. The extra person charge is $15 plus tax.

    Silver Street House

    Built at the "Turn of the Century", this building completes the property with an additional four guest rooms. The rooms are named for the four Irish miners who became known as the Sliver Kings of the Comstock. The rooms in the Silver Street House are named after the quartet of Irishmen that became known as the Bonanza Kings. When the Big Bonanza was struck in the Consolidated Virginia mine in 1873, these four became instant millionaires. The Con-Virginia, as it was known, became the all time leading producer in the history of the Comstock Lode. Each of the four rooms has a queen bed and a private bath. Rates range from $99 to $159 per night for two people.
