Whispering Pines Bed & Breakfast - Nebraska City, Nebraska Welcoming the warmth at Whispering Pines!

The 130 year old home offers modern comforts amongst its many antiques and old Victorian atmosphere. It sits on six and a half acres, surrounded by 100 year old pine trees, lovely flower gardens, and a water garden with fountains. Located on the edge of town, at Whispering Pines you can retreat into seclusion, but you'll be only blocks from the many local area attractions. Sit a spell on the veranda, relax in the old-time porch swing.

Curl up with a good book in one of the cozy rooms or the parlor. Watch a classic movie in the guest Den or in the privacy of your own room. Play a game or help with the latest puzzle. Step into your personal robe and relax in the outdoor hot tub under the stars. So, come visit to see what you'll find behind the pines. Meet new friends, enjoy good conversation, create memories, or relax and retreat in seclusion at Whispering Pines.

This beautiful home was built in 1878 and the dark woodwork, high ceilings and interior decor in the common rooms will easily transport you back to the Victorian period. Central heat and air conditioning and wireless internet are just a few of the modern conveniences offered; yet they are complimented by antiques from different eras.

RELAX on the PORCH, in the GARDENS or enjoy the SPA

The wrap around porch/veranda offers a pleasant view of the gardens, pine trees and often wildlife scampering around. You'll find many ideal spots to relax on the porch or as you wander through the gardens. Just off the deck is the spa that is available to all guests year round. Let a Mexican wool blanket help keep you warm while star gazing on those chilly evenings.

MEMORIES: FUN & GAMES in the DEN & PARLOR

The parlor and den are common areas open to all guests. Homemade snacks, candies and refreshments will tempt you to indulge. Play the piano in the parlor, help piece together the community puzzle or in the den, you'll find a TV w/Cable, CD/DVD player, playing cards and board games. Enjoy a movie from the DVD library or gather around the dining table to play a game of cards or just to chat. A guest computer is also available for internet browsing.

    Business Traveler Policies
    • Lenient Cancellation Policy: Having traveled for work for many years, I know that the business traveler cannot always predict where and when they will need to be. Because of this, I offer the business traveler a relaxed cancellation and change policy. If for any reason your plans change, contact us by noon on the day prior to the date of your scheduled arrival to cancel or change your plans (based on availability) without penalty. Of course, the travel must have been booked under the business traveler package by phone to qualify for this accommodation and you must have a confirmation number that refers to a business booking to qualify.
    • Flexible Breakfast Arrangements: I realize that you may need to hit the road early and there is no reason to do that on an empty stomach! I am happy to provide breakfast as early as 6 am for the business traveler. A lighter fare breakfast of pastries, fruit, yogurt, granola, juice and coffee or hot tea is also an option. Please let me know of this request no later than the day prior to your stay.

    • Peace and Quiet
Best of all, I am happy to provide you with a quiet and home away from home atmosphere to unwind after your hectic work or travel days. Enjoy a glass of tea (or wine) on the veranda, relax in the hot tub under the moon and stars, take a few minutes for yourself, I won't tell!
