Napoleon's Retreat Bed & Breakfast

All rooms at Napoleon’s Retreat feature high-quality queen size mattresses, Cable TV/DVD, phones, writing desks, refrigerators, irons/boards, air-conditioning, hair dryers and fine bath amenities. Room rates are base on double occupancy. Single corporate and government rates available Sunday thru Thursday. Reservations may be made on-line twenty-fours a day. Inquires and telephone reservations are accepted 8 AM – 7 PM CST.

Lafayette
With its 12-foot ceiling and five windows, this is an elegant, spacious room with beautiful teal-green colored walls and a half-tester bed. The private bathroom is cozy yet charming with a large shower.

Burgundy
With a canopy bed fit for royalty, this room a deep burgundy-colored walls and lattice design carpet. The adjoining bathroom is spacious, with a double-vanity sink and tub/shower combination.

Napoleon
Even Napoleon would have slept here in this wonderfully large, private room on the 3rd floor. At nearly 40 feet long and 14 feet wide, it is so spacious that is feels like a suite. Window on three sides of the room add to the open, loft-like ambiance. You can see the Arch and downtown from one side. The room features a queen size bed and large sitting area with wet bar. The private bathroom has a standard sized Jacuzzi tub with shower.

Garden
Pamper yourself in this gorgeous room, with its luxurious bathroom featuring an oversized whirlpool tub for two and separate shower. The room has a private entrance off the garden courtyard. The gas fireplace provides added warmth and coziness during the winter months.

Cottage
Our most private guest accommodation, this charming guest cottage is located in the original carriage house. It features a sitting room, small kitchen and dining area and private bath with a shower/tub combination on the first floor and a second floor loft bedroom. Off the bedroom you can enjoy your own private balcony overlooking the garden courtyard.

Reservation Information & Policies

• On-line reservations may be made twenty-four hours a day. Inquires or reservations made by phone - please call 314-772-6979 (local) or our toll free line, 1-800-700-9980 (out of area) 8 AM - 7 PM Central Standard Time.
• All rates are per room, double occupancy. There is a $25 charge for an additional 3rd person. Not all rooms can accommodate a third person. Fire codes restrict room occupancy. Ask the innkeeper for details.
• State and local tax is 8.241%. We are not required to collect the additional 7.5% St. Louis city lodging tax.
• Prices and terms are subject to change without notice (but not once you have made your reservation.)
• Rates and minimum stays may increase during special events and holidays.
• The rate of your room includes a full breakfast.
• In consideration of others, smoking is only allowed outside. St. Louis fire code prevents the use of candles in the guest rooms.
• We regret that the inn is not suitable for children under the age of 12.
• Guests are welcome to bring their own adult beverage.
• We have no provisions for guest's pets.
• A two-night minimum stay is required on most weekends. Special events and some holiday weekends may require a longer minimum stay. Sometimes, a room may be available for a single Friday or Saturday evening - call the inn for more information.
• Requests for one-night stays during special events may be declined.
• A one-night deposit is required at the time of your booking. For stays longer than three days, a 50% deposit may be required.
• All major credit cards are accepted. You may book on-line through our secure reservation system, or call during normal business hours, 8 AM -7 PM CST.
• Should you wish to cancel or change your reservation for any reason, we do require at least 14 days notice. Group bookings and long-term stays may require a longer cancellation period. Cancellations and changes must be made by e-mail or speaking directly with the innkeeper.
• Cancellations made within the 14 day cancellation may result in the forfeiture of the deposit, unless we can re-book the room.
• Your deposit will be refunded if you cancel prior to the 14 day cancellation period, minus a $20 processing fee. The $20 fee will be applied to your next stay if you re-book within six months . Special events/holidays may require a longer cancellation policy.
• All cancellations are subject to a $20 processing fee. The fee will be applied to your next stay if booked within six months.
• We are a small inn and cancellations affect us dramatically. If you have any concerns about possibly having to cancel, we do recommend inexpensive trip cancellation insurance.
• There is no refund for early departures unless we can re-book the room.
• Check-In: Unless arranged at the time of booking, check-in is between 4 & 6 pm on weekdays and 3-5 pm Saturday/Sunday & holidays. Unless you are arriving by plane and will not have a car, we regret that we cannot accommodate early check-ins.
• Check-out: 11 AM.
• Parking is in front of the inn, on street. There are no restrictions and non-metered. Our section of the historic district is residential and plentiful parking can usually be found easily.
