    Danzero Room

Walnut Street Inn is a twelve-room bed and breakfast inn conveniently tucked into the heart of Springfield, Missouri. The first Springfield Symphony's Designers' Showcase Home, every room in the Main House was decorated by a different innovative designer. Each of our distinctive guest rooms has a private bath, queen or king bed, two line telephone, and cable television with over 67 channels. Comfortable chairs and chaise lounges invite you

to unwind with one of our many treasured antique books. Flickering fireplaces relax you to sleep in canopied beds warmed with down comforters or cozy quilts. Watch the fireflies play on the lawn or soak in the early morning sunlight from your private balcony. Sink into a big tub and feel your tension float away like bubbles.... Spend a few precious hours to retreat, rest, restore and rediscover the poetry in life.

    Main House Guest Rooms

The "Main House" as we call it, was built in 1894 and houses six B&B rooms, two parlors, our dining room, our kitchen and our largest outside deck and porches. If you enjoy the B&B experience and like talking to other guests or innkeepers, this is where you want to be. If you are traveling with other friends and family, the main house offers large parlors where you can converse away the hours and we can treat you to coffee, tea and any leftover muffins or cookies. With six rooms, it is often the perfect size to bring everyone and take over the house for family celebrations. Need more space? All 12 rooms of the Inn are often rented together for local graduations, weddings and special family anniversaries. Let the Walnut Street Inn be your private family Inn. New! All 6 rooms, plus the parlors and outside sitting areas have free Wi-Fi access.

    Carriage House Guest Rooms

The Carriage House was also built in 1894 and was a dirt floor stable until 1991, when it was converted to four lovely and secluded B&B rooms with private baths. Two large rooms on the first floor give easy access (the Jewell Room is handicap accessible) and have wonderful "built in" canopy beds with gas fireplaces and two-person whirlpool tubs, while the upstairs rooms offer gas fireplaces and lofty ceilings with skylights. Need four rooms for friends or family? Take all four and be as noisy as you want! The outside sitting areas have some Wi-Fi access and you can bring your laptop to the main house parlors any time.

    Cottage Inn Guest Rooms

The Cottage Inn, two doors east of the Main House, offers even the most privacy and seclusion from other guests. It was manufactured in 1904 in Chicago and then shipped by train to Springfield. It is one of many Sears Catalogue homes on Walnut Street. The two rooms are on the second floor and, in a cottage style, are less Victorian than the main house. The Cottage Inn offers the privacy and unique features like a bubble jet tub and our only steam bath. New! Both rooms plus the outside sitting areas on the porch have free Wi-Fi access.
