    Welcome to the Amber House Bed and Breakfast, located in the historic village of Rocheport, Missouri, two blocks from the Katy Trail. Amber House combines Victorian elegance with fine furnishings, antiques, light-filled rooms and modern amenities. We offer 4 beautifully decorated guest rooms, each with luxury bath.

    Amber House is a perfect place for a romantic getaway, to celebrate a special occasion, or just enjoy a relaxing few days. Spend the day hiking or biking and enjoying the breathtaking scenery along the Katy Trail or visiting the antique shops in the historic village. Have lunch or dinner at an excellent downtown restaurant or dine while you enjoy the spectacular view at the nearby bluff-top winery bistro. Rocheport is a convenient 2-hour drive from both St. Louis and Kansas City. We are also less than a 15-minute drive to Columbia, the home of the University of Missouri.

    Amber House Bed and Breakfast is a new, Queen Anne Victorian-style inn built especially to be a luxury bed and breakfast. The main floor includes a charming parlor offering comfortable seating and a place to relax and socialize with other guests if you wish, as well as the formal dining room, where breakfast is served each morning. Guests are invited to enjoy the outdoor seating areas on the large wraparound porch. We also offer on-site parking and complimentary bike storage.

    Gourmet food is an integral part of Amber House. Beginning at 7:30 a.m. early risers can help themselves to fresh, special blend coffee available on the landing outside the guest rooms. Each morning your innkeeper, who is a professional chef, will serve a multi-course gourmet breakfast in the dining room. Of course, we are glad to accommodate any special dietary needs - just let us know your requirements when making your reservation! Complimentary beverages and snacks are always available in the Butler's pantry and 2nd floor guest refrigerator.

    All four guest rooms and baths are on the second floor. Each room features a King or Queen-size bed, highest quality bedding and linens, fine furnishings, an antique-style electric fireplace (these have received raves from guests), Cable TV with DVD, and individual climate controls. Each immaculate luxury bath offers 2 sinks, private commode area, and specialty tub and/or shower.

    The Amber House Bed & Breakfast is located in Rocheport, Missouri. We are just minutes from the Missouri River and about 12 miles west of Columbia, Missouri. That is approximately 120 miles (two hours) east of Kansas City and approximately 120 miles (two hours) west of St. Louis. Conveniently located only 2 miles from I-70. Just a 15 minute drive to downtown Columbia and the University of Missouri campus.

    From Kansas City, you will drive east on I-70 for approximately 2 hours and take the first exit just past the Missouri River Bridge, the Rocheport Exit (Exit 115) and make a left. Exit 115 is also marked as Route BB.

    From St. Louis (coming from the east), you will drive west on I-70 for approximately 2 hours. Go approximately 12 miles past Columbia to the Rocheport Exit (Exit 115). Exit 115 is also marked as Route BB North. Make a right.

    Travel northwest on State Highway BB, approximately 2 miles, into the village of Rocheport.

    Upon entering Rocheport, Route BB turns into Third Street. Almost immediately after seeing the Rocheport population sign on your right, you will see the Amber House Bed & Breakfast on the left side of Third Street, at the corner of Third and Ward Streets. Driveway entrance is off Ward Street. On-site parking for our guests is available at the rear of the property to the left of the driveway entrance. Follow the stone path around the house to the large, wood front door and ring the bell for check-in.
