Plain and Fancy Bed & Breakfast

The Butterfly Room is located on the first floor room and features an Amish style queen-size bed. The desk and other furnishings are also handcrafted by the Amish. Antique butterfly quilts serve as wall hangings. Cable TV and a DVD player are available for your use. The private adjoining bathroom has an oversized jet tub in the bay window. Bath oil, gel and a rubber duck are nearby. Let all your tensions evaporate as you stand under the spa shower. Microwave and mini fridge, stocked with soda and bottled water, complete your oasis.

The Amish Room, our most popular room, features a wrap-around queen size bed which was handcrafted in the Amish country of Seymour, Missouri. Pictures of the area are displayed on the walls as well as some hats and dolls also from the area. But unlike the Amish, we have cable TV, DVD player and wireless internet. For your comfort, a thermostat just for your room has been installed so that you can adjust to the temperature that you desire.

Sink into the oversize corner Jacuzzi tub and relax...or renew under the spa shower. Plush towels, bath oil, shower gel and special soap complete your experience. Wrap up in the soft robes; lounge in your room or wander the grounds where you can find the hot tub, pool, gazebo or firepit patio to enjoy.

Rhett's Suite consists of a sitting room, a bedroom, an adjacent bathroom and a private porch which can be accessed by either the bedroom or the sitting room. It sleeps up to four people. The suite is equipped with a thermostat so that you can adjust the temperature to your likeness. The private bath has an old fashioned soaking tub as well as a new spa shower. Plush robes are provided to lounge in.

You can watch cable TV on the 41-inch-flatscreen or enjoy a movie on DVD (we have a small collection or you can bring your own).  Electric fireplace in room enhances the atmosphere.   There is also has a desk (you can use as a table, too)  with access to high speed internet and a queen-size sleeper couch. This suite will be great for 2 couples traveling together or just one couple wanting a little extra room.

The private porch offers a great spot for your morning coffee; or in the evening watch the sun set with your sweetheart. The bedroom is furnished with a king size bed.

If Scarlett O'Hara, from "Gone with the Wind" fame, lived today, this is where she would want to have her romantic trysts. This hideaway is tucked in the back of the house with its own private entrance as well as private patio. Inside, you will find everything that you need for a romantic getaway.

There is an oversize corner Jacuzzi tub where you can listen to the real wood burning fireplace crackle and pop; or cuddle up on the loveseat and watch the fire or TV on the flat screen or a movie such as "Gone with the Wind" on the DVD player in room. Your hideaway includes a Flavia Machine with a selection of teas and coffees, as well as, a mini fridge stocked with soda and bottled water. A microwave is also at your disposal.

Luxuriate in the king-size bed. Enjoy the private bathroom equipped with a double headed spa shower, plush towels and robes. If you should decide to leave your hideaway, you are just steps away from the outdoor hot tub overlooking the creek and the fire pit patio. Reservation Details:

• One night deposit plus sales tax required when the reservation is made. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express accepted.
• Cancel with $35 service charge up to 14 days in advance. Less than 14 day cancellations will be charged full amount of reservations unless the room is rebooked.
• Memorial Day, Labor Day, Mountain Music Festival (Spring and Fall) and Civil War Reenactment require a prepaid two night stay with no cancellation privileges. 4th of July requires a one night prepaid stay with no cancellation privileges.
• Check-in between 3 PM and 5 PM. If you are running late, don't worry--we can leave instructions in the mailbox on the side of the house--just give us a call, please!
• Check-out time is 11 AM.
• Smoking is restricted to outside designated area only.
• We regret that we are not wheelchair accessible.
• Inquire about children.
• Small pets welcome for guests staying in Scarlett's Hideaway.
