The patio has a table and two chairs and is surrounded by our vineyard. A private path allows Vidal guests to walk up to the sidewalk that goes through the forest of gongs and connects to the parking area and three-mile walk path.

While this second floor room has no windows, the large, private, covered patio has great views to the northeast. The patio is perfect for breakfast with its table and two chairs. A locked gate opens to a sloped sidewalk that leads to the parking area. The walkway passes through the forest of gongs and the entrance path to the three-mile walk. Access to the patio is through the bathroom which features a rectangular Jacuzzi tub and a unique arrangement of wine bottles that gives the impression of looking through the back of a wine cellar. The big screen TV also has surround sound, a VCR, and DVD player and is located to the left of the fireplace. Chambourcin is handicapped accessible.

Our largest room, Seyval has private sitting room with its own TV, VCR, DVD, couch, and extra chairs if another couple want to also watch a movie or play a board game (two couples traveling together frequently book Seyval and Vidal.) The patio is surrounded by our vineyard and also has a large table with four chairs to allow both couples the option to enjoy breakfast together. The main TV, VCR, and DVD are above the corner fireplace. Views are to the east and patio views are to the southeast.

Hermann Hill Vineyard & Inn, our Missouri wine country bed and breakfast, was built in 1995 with the dream of creating an extraordinary lodging experience for our visitors. Twelve years later, we have expanded that vision with a second property, Hermann Hill Village, a collection of upscale cabins on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River just one mile east of Hermannhof Winery. The new country cottage rentals offer premiere lodging in Missouri wine country for romantic getaways, group accommodations, and family vacations. The "Hill" and the Village both offer spectacular views coupled with exceptional amenities. While Hermann Hill is a traditional bed and breakfast inn, Hermann Hill Village enables guests to customize their stay. For example, the Village accommodations are perfect for honeymoons, couples seeking total away-from-it-all privacy, groups of friends who want to share a cottage, or couples traveling with children.

Cottage #1 has four bedrooms and can be booked by up to two couples on each level who are traveling together. We frequently just book one bedroom on each level of Cottage #1 to individual couples (and lock the other bedroom) so that each couple would have their own, private level, and offer those that prefer handicapped facilities bedroom 101, named after the Osage Indians.

Cottages #2, #3, #4, and #5 have two levels and separate entrances to assure total privacy. Each level has the same basic amenities: Bedroom with two fireplaces, bath with Jacuzzi and steam shower, kitchen, living room, deck or patio with hot tub and can accommodate 1 couple on each level.

All rooms have robes, slippers, large refrigerator/freezer, hairdryer, microwave, outdoor gas grill, outdoor hot tub, table and chairs, kitchen and BBQ utensils, iron and ironing board and in-cottage guest laundry facilities. All have two Flat screen TV’s and two CD/DVD players. We supply the same cookies, small bottle of Port Chocolate Raspberry Sauce, and ice cream to your cottage prior to your arrival. You serve yourself. The kitchen refrigerator is stocked with some of the same Hermann Hill entrees we serve at the inn, along with a waffle maker and waffle mix, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, breads for toast, etc. There is a bicycle storage shed in each guest parking lot just a few steps from where you park your vehicle. You can use your own padlock or we will provide you with a combination lock.

Listening and responding to guests' comments has been the key to Hermann Hill's success. But despite much lobbying, we've always said no to pets. (A fairly hypocritical policy, we admit, since we like to take Fred and Gracie along when we travel.)

Now, after much discussion, we're ready to give pet-friendly a try. We're making Vidal, a vineyard-level room at the Inn, and Cottage #502 available to responsible dog owners and their well-behaved companions. If you'd like to be part of this experiment, give us a call at 573-486-4455.

Rates Vary By Season and Day

• Monday through Thursday - Lowest rates
• Festival Weekends - Usually require two-night minimum stay
• Cottages - Require a minimum 2 night stay, unless only a single night is available between two multiple night reservations
• Reservations recommended.
• Book weekends well in advance.
• Payment required at time of reservation for the current year. We charge next year's January reservations in December and next year's February-December reservation after January 1st.

Gift Certificates:

• Hermann Hill Vineyard and Inn and Hermann Hill Village ONLY accept gift certificates from Hermann Hill, Bed and Breakfast Inns of Missouri (BBIM), and Select Registry. Our gift certificates do not have an expiration date but we encourage recipients to use them within a year so they can thank the donor for their gift.
• We have recently changed the options on our availability calendar to make it more guest-friendly. When you enter a requested date, you can check the "display availability calendar first" box and get a 14-day window that shows which rooms are available for specific dates. Click at the bottom of the column for a specific date and get room prices for that day. Once you have made your selection, you can click right to the reservation request or give us a call (573-486-4455) if you have questions.

Our goal as your wine country lodging is simple...to provide the best hospitality and to make your stay at Hermann Hill Vineyard and Inn a memorable one. In order to achieve this for every guest, some simple policies have been established for the bed and breakfast. Please take a moment to review these policies:

• Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made at least 10 days in advance of scheduled arrival will be refunded, less a 10% handling fee, or fully exchanged for a gift certificate to be used at a future date. For cancellations less than 10 days in advance, a 50% refund will be provided. If we are able to make your cancelled reservation available to another guest, we will provide a full refund, less 10% handling fee. Cancellation made less than 24 hours of reservation will receive no refund unless we are able to rebook the room. A special cancellation policy exists for groups or individuals reserving more than two rooms for any given date. This policy basically extends the cancellation notification period from 10 days to 30 days.
• Hermann Hill is a totally smoke-free environment.
• All guests must be at least 18 years of age.
• Maximum occupancy is two people per room.
• Pets are not allowed. We will, however, be happy to help guests with pets make boarding arrangements at our local kennels.
• Hermann Hill ONLY accepts gift certificates from the following entities:
  • Hermann Hill Gift Certificates
  • Bed and Breakfast Inns of Missouri (BBIM) Gift Certificates
  • Select Registry Gift Certificates
• Check-Out time is 11 a.m.
• We provide dog biscuits for guests to feed Fred and Gracie and many guests do this when they depart the inn, after making the dogs sit.
