Reagan's Queen Anne Bed & Breakfast
-

The 'Keepers of the Inn' at Reagan's Queen Anne Bed & Breakfast cordially invite you to experience a bit of the privileged lifestyle of a nineteenth century lumber baron. Come enjoy our graceful Painted Lady and Victorian Jewel in "America's Hometown". Step inside and find magnificently carved woodwork, original gas/electric fixtures, fireplace mantles, and stained glass windows. Or venture outside to the wrap around verandah where you'll likely catch a glimpse of a fleeting jewel, as resident hummingbirds perform their aerobatics near Judy's feeders. Come "sit a spell" in one of our comfy rockers and let your mind drift back to a simpler time, when life seemed to move along at a much slower pace. Experience the sights and sounds of this famous Mississippi River town, as Mark Twain did 100 years before. Imagine what life was like for young Sammy Clemens, who surely frequented this Victorian neighborhood, and the street, which was designated as 'Millionaires Row'.More than 110 years ago, Wilson B. Pettibone, a wealthy lumber baron and Hannibal's greatest philanthropist, built this Victorian jewel for his wife Laura. Mr. Pettibone felt it fitting to use many of his fine woods to grace the foyer, parlors, dining room, library, and staircase. The woodwork is ornate and original as are the Rookwood fireplace tiles, stained glass windows and gas/electric light fixtures.
