The Fairview Inn, our Jackson, MS hotel, is the city's only AAA four-diamond small luxury hotel. We invite you to experience unique lodging in this historic 1908 Colonial Revival mansion. This bed and breakfast inn is one of the few architecturally designed homes of that period remaining, which exudes the rich history of Jackson, Mississippi.
On the National Register of Historic Places and conveniently located in the Belhaven historic neighborhood adjacent to Millsaps and Belhaven Colleges, the Fairview Inn is minutes away from downtown Jackson's arts, theater, museums, and shopping. Antique and boutique shops are in the nearby Fondren District.
More than a bed and breakfast, the Inn boasts eighteen luxurious guest rooms, Sophia's Restaurant serving lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch, nomiSpa for relaxation and rejuvenation, a game room, and a private guest lounge. Only Four Diamond, Luxury Full Service Inn in Jackson, MS. Jackson is the at the crossroads between Memphis and New Orleans and Atlanta and Dallas. Home to the Civil War and Civil Rights history, Jackson is the state capital and a great vantage point to stay and venture out for day trips to Natchez, the Delta Blues and the Vicksburg Civil War Memorial Park.

Eudora Welty House/Museum, Mississippi Museum of Art, Fondren District for Antiques & Art, and “The Help” experience in Jackson. Sample local theatre at New Stage in Belhaven A day trip to Natchez, MS to experience antebellum homes (1 ½ hours from Jackson). Taste local food specialties at Two Sisters, E & L BBQ, Walker’s. Blues Entertainment at Underground 119. A trip to tour the Civil War Memorial Park in Vicksburg (40 mins. Away). Check Calendar for annual special events (i.e. Hal & Mal’s St. Paddy’s Day Parade, Jr. League Mistletoe Marketplace, Sweet Potato Queens Dippity-Do-Da Parade etc.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
In the heart of the historic Belhaven neighborhood, we have Millsaps College on one side of us, Belhaven University on the other side, and the home of Pulitzer prize winning author Eudora Welty just a few blocks away.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
My favorite is Sophia’s here at the Inn. But we have a wide range of alternatives from great sushi to down home Southern, to BBQ to fine dining.

Yes, we do accept pets and have two rooms designated as pet friendly rooms.
Sophia's Restaurant at The Fairview Inn
Sophia's Restaurant in Jackson, Mississippi is reminiscent of a French country restaurant. The intimate dining room has a romantic atmosphere, with a garden-like setting, extensive French windows, and its own private entrance on the west side of the Inn.
Award-winning Chef Gary Hawkins selects fresh, regional southern ingredients and prepares them with a contemporary, healthy flair. Chef Hawkins also features a daily three and four-course prix fixe menu available for dinner with or without wines. Sophia's Restaurant features full bar service and an extensive, yet inexpensive, wine list.
In addition to our restaurant, we have three private dining rooms for groups of eight to forty, where groups may experience Chef Hawkins' cuisine and order off the menu.
Sophia's Restaurant serves lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. Dress is casual, and reservations are recommended, but they are not required. Large parties are welcome, but they must be reserved in advance. Hours of Operation

Room Service is available for Inn guests for breakfast, lunch or dinner during regular restaurant hours of service. Boxed lunches may also be arranged in advance for guests wishing to explore Mississippi.
Sunday brunch, popular with the locals, offers a southern buffet of assorted salads, entree selections featuring comfort foods, an omelet and waffle station with Chef making omelets to order and an elaborate dessert selection. Guests may also order Eggs Fairview (our version of Eggs Benedict), a la carte, or in combination with the buffet.

Our Mississippi spa is a luxurious retreat located on the first floor at the rear of the Fairview Inn in Jackson, MS. Get relief from the stresses of everyday living. Massage services, manicures, pedicures, facials, reflexology, aromatherapy, hair removal, detoxification baths, and energy healing are provided in the nomiSpa. The spa staff members are trained, licensed professionals providing personalized therapies in a nurturing environment. Only homeopathic skincare products and essential oils are used to ensure a complete holistic approach. Dr. Hauschka skincare products are available for sale in the spa.
The Fairview Inn provides guests with complimentary passes to the Baptist Healthplex facility that is just five short blocks from the Inn.
