Only 20 miles north of the city of Rochester, MN, on the edge of the village of Zumbro Falls is the Burr Oaks Bed and Breakfast. It is an 1890 newly renovated farmhouse, which retains much of its quaint-old fashioned charm. This beautiful old home is air conditioned and offers two elegant rooms with shared bath.

A Warm Welcome Awaits YouAfter a peaceful night's sleep in the country, you must make your most difficult decision of your stay: where will you savor your delicious breakfast? Out on the screened porch or the spacious deck where you can hear the birds chattering as you take in the splendor of the sunrise? Or maybe amongst the beautiful flowers on the private back patio nestled into the hill. How about in the enchanting gazebo overlooking the valley?

If you prefer to eat indoors, in the dining room you can bask in the morning sun as it pours in the large bay window. Just outside the windows you can watch a wide variety of birds -- cardinals, blue jays, chickadees, finches, juncos, nuthatches, woodpeckers and tiny humming birds as they savor their delicious Burr Oaks B&B breakfast. From the windows throughout the house and the gazebo you can observe larger wildlife such as deer, turkey and grouse at the feeding stations on the edge of the woods.

Beautiful SurroundingsStroll down the picturesque lane, which winds through the trees to the neighbor's horse paddock and field. Maybe you will discover some frisky colts or calves frolicking in the sun. Or, if you are so inclined, a vegetable garden and flowerbeds await your endeavors. This is a casual, comfortable country home that is lovely in all seasons. Whether the woods and grounds are blanketed with snow, spring/summer blossoms or fall colors, we know you will enjoy your stay.
