Morning Glory Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful bed and breakfast within walking distance to downtown Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Our very comfortable and tastefully decorated living room offers a wood burning fireplace, well stocked library and game area with terrace door to a private guest patio. The breakfast room is cheerfully decorated in blue and yellow and host to weekday full hearty breakfasts . Weekend breakfasts are served at 9 am and include a 3-course meal. Water, tea, hot chocolate, and cookies are always available. We offer a wine/pop/cheese social hour at 5 pm on Friday and Saturday. Business rates are available Sunday - Thursday, wireless internet and early continental breakfast available.
Each of our four suites provide you with the comfort of your own:
- Private sitting room
- Private bath
- Cable television with VCR and DVD player
- Air conditioning
We do not permit smoking inside and cannot accomodate guest pets. Rates range from $100 - $130/night.

There are many reasons to visit Grand Rapids and stay with us! Romance, the Mesabi Bike Trail is just blocks from us as is the Reif Performing Arts Center and downtown. We offer quiet comfort and can also help you plan your day as a tourist if you need it!

Beautiful area with many lakes and trees plus lots of outdoor activities available, art galleries, museums, historical, performing arts centers.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
Feeling very stressed on arrival but ready to face life again on departure or others have asked if they could just live here and let us pamper them!
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
Mesabi Bike Trail- over 80 miles of lodge to lodge biking through gorgeous lakes, woods and prairies.

Forest History Center, MN Discovery Center- mining, Itasca State Park- Miss. River headwaters, Judy Garland museum- birthplace, Mesabi Bike Trail.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
Walking distance to downtown, Lake Walk, bike trail, antique stores, coffee shop, unique stores, restaurants, library, performing arts center.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
Forest Lake Steakhouse, and Cedars.

We have 4 two room suites- sitting room, bedroom plus private bath.
Do you accept pets?
No, we do have 1 dog who loves to be petted and is a wonderful "dog fix".

Winter in Grand Rapids provides some of the best recreation in Minnesota. Over 20 cross country ski trails. Try snowshoeing, look for antiques, take in a performance at the Reif Center. Cozy up in your suite with a good book or movie from our large selection.
Spring in northern Minnesota provides for excellent opportunities to observe our local and migrating birds while communing with the budding aspens, and should the weather not cooperate our inn provides the perfect getaway for those just looking to, well, get away.
Summer in northern Minnesota is about as close to heaven you can get and write home about it. Reserve a Morning Glory suite as your "base camp" and explore all that Northern Minnesota has to offer!
Autumn in northern Minnesota is arguably the best time of year. Hiking or driving in the Chippewa National Forest or on the Edge of the Wilderness Scenic Byway near Grand Rapids provides for a kaleidoscope of fall colors.
