Quill And Quilt Bed & Breakfast

Cannon Falls is a charming riverside town located 30 miles South of St. Paul, Minnesota.  And The Quill and Quilt is located about 2 blocks from downtown Cannon Falls, The Cannon River Winery, and the starting point of The Cannon Valley Trail.   

We invite you to stay in this beautiful home built in 1897 for Dr. A.T. Conley and his family.  We have done our best to preserve the historic aspect of the home while making it both elegant and convenient in many ways.

All five guest rooms at our bed & breakfast have private bathrooms which are attached to the guest room, a whirlpool tub, shower, fireplace (gas or electric), flat screenTV with DVD, and either a king or queen bed.

In addition to spending time in your room, we also invite you to enjoy the common areas on and around the house where you will find a collection of DVDs, tea & cocoa, and comfortable places to sit and talk or take in the day.

Cannon Falls also has three nice golf courses, two of which are within a couple miles of The Quill & Quilt.  There are restaurants and stores both downtown and in the area, making Cannon Falls a wonderful destination close to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis – St. Paul.

There are many opportunities for recreation in the area including biking the Cannon Valley Trail which is paved all the way to Red Wing, MN, kayaking or canoeing in the Cannon River as it winds through the bluffs, swimming at the beach on Lake Byllesby, walking the trails leading down by the falls or the river, playing Frisbee golf, or attending one of the many local festivals.

We do offer quality enhancements to your room, some will opefully remind guests
of the wonderful time they had at the Quill & Quilt for many years!

We also have a separate room on the first floor dedicated for massage & spa services. This is somewhat unique among small bed & breakfast properties, which more typically will offer massage in the guest room or a temporary common area.  We feel this adds another dimension of relaxation and luxury to your stay, and therefore highly recommend taking advantage of this opportunity while visiting us!

Dr. Conley can be seen sitting on the porch, in this photograph from the early 20^th Century just after the sidewalks were put in on Hoffman Street.  There are several photos around the house of this era, during which time the house was owned by The Conley family.  If you like history, you might want to visit the Cannon Falls Museum which is a short walk into town from The Quill & Quilt.
