  • Introduction

    Voyager's Inn Bed & Breakfast:
A Beautiful 1898 Queen Anne Victorian "Painted Lady"
The Only B&B In Historic Downtown Three Rivers, Michigan

Voyager's Inn B&B is the place to visit for a fabulous Southwest Michigan getaway!  Whether you want a place to kick back and relax, or a place with opportunities for boating, fishing, great antiquing, fabulous farmer's markets, hiking and biking trails, skiing, wineries, and more, you will find it here in Three Rivers. The inn is also convenient for the business traveler who is tired of hotels in the Three Rivers area.  The homey atmosphere and gracious hospitality at Voyager's Inn make it a great "home away from home," complete with competitive rates, free high-speed wireless internet, and an amazing hot breakfast to start the day.

"What a lovely respite from the snowy roads we traveled.  Thanks for your gracious hospitality!"

"Life is good at Voyager's Inn, as it has been previously.  See you again soon."

The inn showcases Victorian-era fine craftsmanship:  massive oak and cherry pocket doors, hardwood floors, gingerbread scroll work, and a grand staircase.  Three unique guest rooms with private baths feature pillow-top queen beds and other amenities. Common areas include a beautiful Parlor with a brilliant blue tiled fireplace, a Music Room with piano, the Landing Library, a fabulous front porch, and beautiful backyard gardens and sitting areas.

Coffee, tea and other beverages are available around the clock, and look for sweet treats in the Parlor each evening.  Best of all is our signature breakfast featuring fresh, local produce, dairy products and meats, and we are happy to provide vegetarian and/or gluten-free meals upon request.

"A quiet, restful night here...just what we needed.  The breakfast filled us for the day!"

    Our Menus
Voyager's Inn is a strong supporter of community supported agriculture.  We use eggs from local Amish farms, and milk for our home-made yogurt comes from Bluebird Farm, a chemical free, family-run farm in Three Rivers.  Our bacon, ham and breakfast sausage come from local farms whenever possible.  Zucchini, pumpkin, tomatoes, corn and other seasonal vegetables are purchased at the Three Rivers Farmers Market, and are processed and preserved for use during the  off-season.  Apples, strawberries and other fruits come from near-by Corey Lake Orchard or the Nottawa Fruit Farm.  We feature Amish cheese from Deutsch Käse Haus (Middlebury, Indiana), maple syrup produced by students of the Volinia Outcomes School, and Michigan potatoes, cranberries and cherries.

We are happy to provide a vegetarian and/or gluten-free breakfast upon request.

  • Your Innkeepers

    Caryn Wilson, Owner/Innkeeper

Caryn's fascination with Victorian houses began about 25 years ago, when she purchased a do-it-yourself dollhouse kit.  After a few frustrating attempts to glue the foundation and three walls together, it became clear that dealing with an already-built, real-life Victorian would be a whole lot easier.

In 2006, Caryn and daughter Nichole purchased the home at 210 East Street, which was previously a bed-and-breakfast.  The home was reintroduced to Three Rivers as Voyager's Inn as part of the 2007 Holiday Homes Tour.

Caryn grew up in Cleveland, Ohio.  She developed a passion for the flute at an early age, which led her to the Interlochen Arts Academy, and later to the University of Illinois to study with renowned flutists Charles Delaney and Alexander Murray.  Her professional music activities included several years as a high school band director, and over twenty years as director of church choirs for all age groups.  Caryn served as Administrator of the American Board of Otolaryngology (testing/certifying organization for ear, nose and throat specialists) for 24 years.  She retired in August 2009 and is enjoying her new life as an innkeeper.
Caryn's enjoys reading, quilting, sewing and playing her flute when she is not busy keeping a 110-year-old house in running order.

    Peggy Deames, Innkeeper

Margaret (Peggy) has lived in Three Rivers for 18 years.  She loves history, and nearly drove her children insane with her insistence on reading all historical markers on family vacations.  Thus, she finds living and working in a 100 year old home  a perfect fit.

While Caryn is definitely the handy woman in this duo, never fearing to paint, drill and hammer, Peggy is the pillow fluffer and pancake flipper.  That summer job as a breakfast cook in college and years of being a mom and foodie prepared her to host your stay at Voyager's Inn.

Professionally, Peggy practiced for many years as a registered nurse in maternal/child health and as a woman's health nurse practitioner.  Her passion for a holistic approach to healthy living led her to ownership of Love Your Mother, an earth-friendly store in historic downtown Three Rivers.  Peggy volunteers at World Fare, (a fair-trade store), and is actively involved in the Three Rivers Sustainable Food Group, which promotes local sustainable food production.

Peggy's other passions include reading, writing, word games, dancing, learning about local history, walking and traveling.  In short, she is into enjoying the journey called life and sharing that with others.

"We are visiting from Chicago and love this B&B. Our hosts were wonderful and very accommodating.  Our 8 month old stayed with us and the walls are so thick, no oneheard him cry!! We will be back!

As always, the attention to detail is wonderful.  For us, it is like a home away from hoem.  Love this room!"
