Three large windows allow plenty of sunshine and awesome views of Muskegon Lake and Yacht Harbor and opens up to the delightful lake breezes. A very comfortable yet eloquently designed, “Queen Rice-Poster Canopy” bed, with its matching Armoire, two end tables and triple-dresser/full mirror; all cherry wood bedroom suite. Allot of room to spread out your personal items and to store your belongings. An all-brass replica of an 1860’s Hunter ceiling fan with all wood teak blades that runs silently, but allows a comfortable breeze to flow through the room.

The adjoining double-whirlpool bath (60”x60” has plenty of room to stretch out in!) has a solid brass Telephone Shower in your private bathroom. The room is well lighted and even has infrared overhead heat to keep you comfortably warm during the winter months and those cool mornings! Enjoy the elegant ceramic pedestal sink and flooring with plush towels and robes to dry & wrap yourself up in after a relaxing whirlpool bath.

A High Definition Cable, Flat-Panel TV with a “BluRay” Disc Player is provided for our guest viewing pleasure of high definition movies. To keep our rooms, “green”, we have retained a gas fired “Rinnai” instant hot-water heater that only operates on demand! Our hand held remote controlled, state-of-the-art, air-conditioning systems are what is called, a mini-split system; we can cool just one room at all time or the entire floor as is needed! Rose Room Suite

The Rose Room Suite is decorated in the Victorian era and dully named, because of delicate rose patterned wallpaper around this large room. The matching bedroom suite is of solid oak, and includes a Queen Sleigh bed with an overhead canopy, two side end tables, and a matching wardrobe armoire that all sets on oak flooring throughout the room. The two large windows in this room are draped in white lace curtains that allow plenty of sunlight to stream in this lovely room. There are also three original sconce pouter wall lights that operate off of push/pull switches or the original push button switch on the wall.

The beautifully carved wooden mantel fireplace sits in a walkway to the private turn-of-the century original bathroom to this Victorian mansion. The walkway is well lit with sconce lights over the fireplace as-well-as two windows that drench the entire room with the morning sunrise. There is also an antique sitting chair and foot ottoman to relax and read a good book or just enjoy the heat of the fireplace.

Off the walkway is the turn-of-the century bathroom of which the walls and floor have the original ceramic tiles. This room was added on to the house in 1911 when, as Fred says, the outhouse became the in-house bathroom! This magnificent room still retains all the original fixtures by Kohler, including an original nickel plated pan-head shower and shower curtain rod, as-well-as a Kohler ceramic pedestal sink, tub, and commode.

There is also a high definition cable, flat-panel TV with a separate HD-DVD player for your entertainment needs. The Rose Room Suite also employs the state-of-the art, hand held and remote controlled air-conditioning system that all of our guest rooms enjoys. Plush bath robes and towels are provided for your relaxation and comfort. Additional items available for our guest use and enjoyment are: a hair dryer, our special ‘bath salts’ that softens the water for a more relaxing atmosphere. A Shower dispenser dispenses shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are all provided for you.
