We specialize in Southern Michigan getaways with packages including Massage and Day Spa Services, Romance packages, Women's Weekends, Murder Mystery Dinners, the original Chef Night cooking party, and our annual New Year's Eve Murder Mystery Party. We have regularly scheduled special events throughout the year.

We also cater to Parents and Alumni of Hillsdale College. Business Travelers, who are tired of hotels and motels in Hillsdale County, enjoy our location (10 restaurants within 1 mile), amenities (including free high speed wireless internet), hospitality, and Corporate Rates.

This spectacular Greek Revival Mansion was once a Station on the Underground Railroad and may be the oldest B&B in Southern Michigan that was originally built as a private residence (circa 1834). The house covers 6,800 square feet and has an abundance of common area. Relax in one of seven unique guest rooms, play the baby grand piano in our huge parlor, scrapbook or play games at the plank table, or spend time in the library with a book, a video, or "the boys" (our resident Scottish Terriers). A hot "Atkins Friendly" Breakfast is offered 7 days a week.

Your hosts, Mike and Lori Venturini, have served as Ambassadors to the World since 1999. Guests from all 50 states, over 60 countries, and 6 continents have enjoyed small town American hospitality in this unlikely crossroads of international travelers who meet in Jonesville, USA for business or pleasure. An uncommonly high occupancy rate has led to interesting people from across America and around the world to share breakfast on 320 mornings in 2006.

Our resident Scottish Terriers have become a favorite part of the house for many of our guests. They have a friendly disposition and are known to be unusually quiet in the house where there is no barking allowed. These unbelievably well-behaved boys are careful to never step foot into the parlor or any of our guest rooms. We have trained them to ring a bell when they need to go outside. They are content to spend most of their days in the Library or outside the house where they obediently stay away from the sidewalks and driveway. Occasionally, they are invited into the cookie room or breakfast room to mingle with guests after meals have been served.

Reggie, the oldest boy, was born in June of 1996. He is our alpha male and is totally black in color. Gilley, the youngest boy, was born in June of 1997. He looks older because he appears to have grey streaks but does not. His striped brindle undercoat gives the illusion of premature grey (especially when he is freshly groomed).

We can host small gatherings for any occasion from tea parties to costume parties. We can make your event special in a very comfortable atmosphere. Whether you are celebrating an anniversary, birthday, retirement, christening, graduation, or family reunion, we can help make it an event to remember in a home-like environment.

Let your imagination run wild and let us help you organize a unique party. We have turned the Munro House into a Pizzeria for a casual event. We have turned out the lights and lit candles for an elegant firelight party. We have had a children's tea party culminate with a fashion show for their parents. We can do a family or class reunion for up to 100 guests. We will help you come up with the idea, then we will set it up, serve it up, and clean it up while you and your guests relax and have fun.

Small Weddings, Christmas Parties, Anniversary Parties, etc. are enjoyed in our extra large double parlor. Guests love our homelike atmosphere where they can enjoy the event and let us do all of the work.

Theme parties have been a huge success at the Munro House with favorites including Murder Mystery Dinners and "Chef Night" (where our guests do all of the cooking).

All breakfasts are made fresh-to-order.

Start with our favorite Coffee, Stash Tea, and "James Bond" Orange Juice; Mr. Mike's Home-Made Jam; plus a Blend of 3-6 Fresh Cut Fruits which could include strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, pineapple, kiwi, watermelon, cantaloupe, honey dew, apples, pears, papaya, or mango, plus red, black, or green grapes. Because everything is made-to-order, breakfast is not over until our guests are full. Re-orders are welcome.

Milk and Decaf Coffee is available by request. Cereal is always available. We usually stock several varieties including Cheerios and Special K, plus other Big G or Kellogg's Cereals. Menu offerings are subject to change at any time. Special requests may be accommodated if ingredients are readily available--veggie omelet (mushrooms, peppers, onions), poached eggs, sausage links, ham, etc.
