Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to Norma Glass for sharing her own secrets with BBOnline.com! Why do most travelers stay at your inn?
Most people that stay here come for the view and location. We have the best view of Lake Michigan and the Light House in Grand Haven. We are across the street from Lake Michigan and have rooms that overlook the lake, lighthouse and channel while lying in bed. Grand Haven has one of the few Lighthouses that is easy to walk to.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
We are best known for our cleanliness, friendliness and convenience. Our beautiful historic home is "Dutch" clean and has a warm and friendly atmosphere. We are only minutes (easily walk able) from downtown Grand Haven, it's restaurants and shopping. The uniqueness we offer is our spectacular view and location.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
The #1 thing Grand Haven has to offer is our Beaches. Our golden sandy beaches are considered one of the "Top" beaches in the world.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
Our best compliments from our guests are for the friendliness, cleanliness and the great breakfast that we prepare.
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
Our guests have told us we are the best kept secret of Grand Haven because of our spectacular view.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
If our guests would like to venture out, we are a short drive to many interesting adventures such as other nearby tourist towns and Michigan's 2nd. largest city, Grand Rapids.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
Most of Grand Haven's attractions are within walking distance. The beach's and lighthouse are right across the street. We have the "boardwalk" for a pleasant walk into town for restaurants/pubs and downtown shopping.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
To pick a favorite restaurant/food is really hard. We have everything from fine dining to local pubs.
Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?
Our Chamber of Commerce offers free Visitors Guides and any information you need by either calling 1-800-303-4096 or see their website, www.grandhavenchamber.org.

Meet The InnkeepersA dream come true!
When I was 5 years old I watched a trolley across the street from the Grand Haven State Park Beach bring people up a sand dune to a big old cottage on the top. I told my Mom and Dad I wanted to own a house like that some day! Howie and I bought that big old cottage and turned it into a Bed and Breakfast in 1998!
Howie worked for car dealerships most of our married life (42 years in October 2011!). He was also a partner in a body shop for 5 years. Since August of 2009 he has been helping me run the Bed and Breakfast.
I worked in the medical field (clerical) for almost 30 years before starting our Bed & Breakfast and fulfiling my dreams!
We moved around a little bit the first 10 years of our marriage (always staying in Western Michigan) finally settling in Byron Center were we lived for 18 years, this is where our four children called home. All four are now married and living within 40 miles of us! We have ten beautiful grand children! In 1998 we moved to Grand Haven to open our B&B.
We love remodeling and decorating homes, and have done a lot of the work here ourselves. We would love to share our home with you as our guests!
