Come enjoy the hospitality of East Tawas Junction, a Bed and Breakfast Inn overlooking beautiful Tawas Bay. Conveniently located between Frankenmuth, Alpena and Mackinaw Island, MI, this updated Country Victorian home sets proudly upon an estate sized lot of lush lawns and stately oak trees.
 

To accommodate our guests, NE Michigan sunrise side B&B is decorated in warmth and comfort. The six guestrooms (five with fireplaces) are tastefully furnished, air-conditioned, have cable TV's, wireless computer access and enjoy private baths and removable feather beds, fresh air dried sheets and linens.

The 3 upstairs rooms in the historic side of the home have a small convenience center with table, chairs, refrigerator, and coffee pot.  There are 3 rooms in the new addition. The 2 downstairs rooms are rented individually or as a suite with a family room (with fireplace, tv,vcr,dvd), private deck and entrance. The loft features a bedroom with sitting/study room.

A separate guest entrance leads one onto the furnished, enclosed wrap around porch before entering the main hall with a cozy library tucked away on one end supported by a wide selection of reading materials and CD's. Ample upholstered sofas and chairs entice one into the front parlor, where an inviting fireplace, "collector's piano" and TV/VCR/DVD are available for every mood. The Game Room with a table, Cable TV/VCR/DVD and fireplace is equipped with cards and board games. Wireless Secured Internet is accessible in all rooms for those with laptops. An Office area with computer, printer and fax is also available. Outdoor garden seating and furnishings invite one to truly relax, enjoy a beverage and "smell the roses", or play a relaxing game of badminton or croquet.

The Chef "Specialties of the House" lure one into the lovely informal dining room or onto the outside bay view deck where you may choose to breakfast "al fresco", weather permitting. Breakfast seating arrangements are available to accommodate your individual preferences. Breakfast served to your room by special arrangement.

East Tawas City Park with its sugar sand beach and grand gazebo, outdoor grills and picnic tables are directly across the street from East Tawas Junction. Just a few of many activities available include: Bike, jog, or a romantic stroll along the walking path outlining Tawas Bay. A walk through the park will lead you to the Tawas Bay Refuge Harbor. This beautiful pier and boat docking facility is designed to accommodate any skipper's needs. The recently renovated, uplighted Tawas Point Lighthouse located at the Tawas State Park, can be seen across the Bay.  A delightful walk and vista at any time of the year.  A lovely bikepath from Alabaster along US23 and out to the State Park and the Lighthouse is a must do for bikers.

In addition to the many activities available so close to the inn, East Tawas Junction is located in close proximity to some of the most exciting locations in the state. We are just 80 miles from Frankenmuth, 60 miles to Alpena and 165 Miles to Mackinaw Island – consider planning a day trip or two during your stay in our cozy and comfortable Michigan lodging.    

East Tawas City Park, with its sandy white beach and grand gazebo, are directly across the street from East Tawas Junction. Other activities include: biking, jogging, or taking a romantic stroll. A walk through the park will lead you to the Tawas Bay Refuge Harbor. The recently renovated Tawas Point Lighthouse, located at the Tawas State Park, can be seen across the Bay.
