Boone's Lair

From $110.00 / night

The Boone's Lair Room is a special room for us. Just look out the back window and down the woodland trace and you'll know why. We have tried to keep the 'feel' simple and quaint.

If you get the chance, read about The Cumberland Gap on the wall then close your eyes and imagine what life was like back then.

The Flintlock rifle over the bed is 'real' but not old. It was made for David by a friend that passed away several years ago. The feather is from a wild turkey that passed through the property. The hat is coyote.  The powder horn is authentic, as is the small pouch.  The chair is draped with an authentic buffalo hide. The small cabin picture is the last residence of Daniel Boone and his family in Kentucky.

The Boone’s Lair Room has log walls and ceiling. It is equipped with a queen sized log bed and log furniture, television which is only used for watching VHS tapes or DVD’s (with an assortment of VHS & DVD's to view --- or bring your own), a refrigerator, private bath and private porch. There is access to a microwave in the kitchen. We hope you enjoy your stay and feel a little "kindred spirit" with those that came before us.  Rates: 1 night - $110/night (2 person occupancy)
