We have several rooms that lend themselves to a particularly romantic atmosphere. The Carriage Room is definitely one of them. This room is located in our carriage house and is designed to be "light & airy", taking on a "tree-house" feel with treetops right outside the windows! Outfitted to make your romantic getaway extra special, this room includes a king-size bed, fireplace, two-person Jacuzzi, TV w/ DVD, rain shower and sitting area, this room provides its guests with a very "20th Century" Victorian feel! The Blossom Room
If something unique and special is what you are looking for as you choose your Northern Michigan lodging, consider the Blossom Room at the Grand Victorian Bed and Breakfast. This room was named after the only child known to have been born in the home. Blossom Bacon was born in the master bedroom in the early 1900s. Now a warm and comfortable guest room outfitted with a queen-sized four-poster antique bed located just below a wonderful etched-glass window. The Blossom room also boasts the home's original master bathroom with the original sink and antique 1890's claw foot bath tub. Soak in a 110 year-old tub to top off your romantic getaway. The Queen Anne Room


The Queen Anne Room is a stately room gracefully done in deep reds and mauves, adding to the Victorian feel of the house. This room features one of the home's three antique fireplaces to provide all the warmth and atmosphere you will need on your getaway. This is a perfect room for relaxing and enjoying a romantic Michigan weekend getaway. This room includes a full private bathroom with shower. The Richardi Room


If you are interested in a romantic Michigan vacation, consider the Richardi Room. This room is located in our carriage house and named after the famed builder of the 1895 Richardi House. This room takes on a masculine tone with a massive king-size bed, romantic fireplace, two-person Jacuzzi, cable TV/DVD, rain shower, and sitting area. This room is ideal for a honeymoon or romantic getaway. What a fitting tribute to the gentleman who has left a wonderful legacy in Northern Michigan! Complimentary computer Wi-Fi provided. $215

The Balcony Room
Imagine a romantic getaway sitting on your own private balcony overlooking beautiful Richardi Park, sipping a beverage or perhaps an ice cold glass of tea. The Balcony Room is beautifully decorated with an 1860's Victorian revival bedroom set consisting of a queen bed and matching dresser. This room also features a beautiful fireplace as well as a private bathroom with shower. $155

The Victoriana Room
If you are interested in an intimate and romantic space, consider the Victoriana Room. This room was once used to accommodate the house maid. Located toward the back of the home, this room provides a cozy romantic retreat. Enjoy the beautiful pink and ivory wall paper, antique dressor, queen-size iron bed, and your own private bath with shower. To make your stay in the Victoriana Room even more special, consider taking advantage of our Romance Package. $125 -
Guest Information
- Check-in: Normal check-in is between 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Kindly let us know if you will be arriving outside of these hours.
- Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
- Payment: We accept personal check, Cash, MasterCard, or Visa. Gratuity for the housekeeping staff is at your discretion and always appreciated.
- Reservations: To confirm your reservation a deposit of one night's lodging is required either on credit card, by personal check or by referencing a gift certificate. A two-night minimum stay is required for weekends from June through October and for holiday weekends.
- Deposits: For normal reservations, a deposit of the 1st night's stay is required. Specials may require a 50% deposit of the package.
- Cancellation: A $25 processing fee is charged for cancellations given at least 7 days in advance of the scheduled arrival date. For no-shows or cancellations under 7 days, a one day fee is charged.
- Smoking: This Historic Home has a strict no-smoking policy! Fire regulations and insurance mandate that there be no smoking permitted indoors or on any of the connecting porches. Convenient smoking areas are provided immediately outside the residence.
- Pets: Due to health concerns and allergies, pets are not allowed. Quality pet boarding is available nearby.
- Guest Common Areas: As our guest, you are encouraged to enjoy the common areas in the Front Parlor, Rear Parlor and Dining Room. Browse about and enjoy the many antiques, books and collectibles. Our hallways, front porch and parking area remain lighted 24 hours a day.
- Coffee & Breakfast: Coffee and newspapers are available close to your room at 7:00 a.m daily. A full plated gourmet breakfast is served in the dining room each morning at 9:00 a.m. All meals are made from fresh, high quality ingredients. With prior notification, special serving times and meals can be accommodated. Some optional meals include Atkins low carb, low fat, and vegetarian.
- Children: Because the Inn is outfitted with numerous period antique furnishings and artifacts, children under 12 years old are welcome only with previous arrangement with the management. Guests with children are responsible and must provide adult supervision at all times while on the premises.
- Parking: Is provided immediately behind the home. To ensure ample parking space, please let us know if you will be bringing a vehicle with a trailer.
- Phone: Guests may use the house phone for credit card & collect calls. Emergency numbers are posted by the phone in the kitchen pantry.
