Murder Mystery Night 25 Feb 2015, 4:37 pm

We have a murder of a famous wine maker that we need your help in solving.  When you book your room for the night of April 11th, you will pick the person you will play in our mystery.   We are looking for 8 people as the least number of guests to solve the murder.    The day will be longer and warmer than we have had in February.   For the Men, choose Pierre LaPaine, Stan Milton, Carter Cabot or Ben Breakfast.  For the Women, choose Renee Melee, Nina Grigio, Sue Veneer or Leelah Eagle.  We will solve the mystery of the death of Malcolm Melee, owner of Melee Vineyards.

St. Patrick’s Weekend/Movie Making Weekend 23 Feb 2015, 5:20 pm

March 17 is St. Patrick’s Day!   Celebrate on the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day.   Enjoy green pancakes and scones.  Stay warm when you enter the Inn.  Enjoy your whirlpool for the three nights and enjoy the third night on us.  Stay the weekend after St. Patrick’s Day and enjoy watching movie making during March 20-22.   I enjoyed watching the movie making last summer and you will enjoy this second movie.

TULIP TIME – JOIN THE DANCE is May 2-9, in Holland, Michigan.

If you have not visited the Tulip Festival in Holland or are looking to return to the festival, this is a wonderful time to visit SW Michigan.

Parades (3 total), Taste of Holland Lunch, Dutch Dance, Bob Newhart,  Arts and Crafts and Fireworks are some of the fun you will have in Holland during this Festival.  The De Zwaan windmill is celebrating the 50th Anniversary in Holland, Michigan.  The De Zwaan was built in 1761 in Krommenie, Netherlands and reassembled in Michigan.  Take a tour of the windmill to the top of the towering building on Windmill Island.

This weekend is a three day weekend with Martin Luther King Day on Monday.   Our best room with the four poster king size bed, whirlpool, fireplace and mini frig.is available for the three nights – FRI, SAT & SUN.   We give you the third night at no cost.  So only pay for the first two nights and stay a third night on us.   Ski at Bittersweet, Cross Country Ski at the Lynx Golf Course or stay in your room watching movies, using the whirlpool and relaxing.   Or book the Davis or DeLano for Saturday and Sunday nights and receive 50% off the 2nd night.

Christmas Fridays in Allegan 26 Nov 2014, 11:02 am

Looking for a Christmas where you step back in time?  Consider staying at the DeLano Mansion Inn during December and walking into the town of Allegan to enjoy the events each Friday night.   Stores are staying open later, to 8:00 pm, a horse and wagon,rides, a trolley ride and shopping.   On Friday, December 5th, the Holiday Parade starts at 7:00 pm with Santa lighting the Iron Bridge for the first official time.  On Friday, December 12th, the Art Hop occurs. Many of the shops will have artists set up to sell their items.  This adds to your shopping fun. Then on the last Friday.   December 19 is the Stocking Hop, so bring your young ones to make a stocking, hear a story from a library  lady and then visit shops to receive items for their stocking.  Santa will be in town each night also.
