    From Boston: Take the Mass Pike, I-90 West to Exit 10. After toll booths, take far right exit towards Charlton/Sturbridge, Routes 12 & 20. After 2 1/2 miles Routes 12 and 20 split. Bear Right to remain on Rt. 20. Follow Rt. 20 about 1 mile to next signal light at Rt. 56. Turn Right and follow 56 North to Leicester. At signal light at Main Street, Leicester, turn Left onto Rt. 9 West. Follow Rt. 9 to Spencer (Rt. 9 becomes Main Street, Spencer). After "Dairy Queen" restaurant watch for small sign announcing Spencer Historic District and crest of hill. Descend the hill and watch for the inn on the right, large white Colonial, black shutters, with white picket fence in front, at 217 Main Street. Approximately 75 minutes.

    From Hartford: Take I-84 East to Massachusetts Exit 3A, US-20 East towards Auburn/Worcester. Follow Rt. 20 approximately 2 miles to MA 49 North. Take 49N approximately 7.5 miles, then Right onto Rt. 9. Follow Rt. 9 (becomes Main Street, Spencer). Pass through downtown area, past Town Hall and very large white Congregational Church, both on left. Just past the church on the left is The Red Maple Inn, 217 Main Street. Approximately 55 minutes.

    From New York City: Take Saw Mill River Parkway to I-684 North to I-84 East, to Massachusetts Exit 3A, US-20 East towards Auburn/Worcester. (Alternatively, Take I-95 North to I-91 North to I-84 East). Follow Rt. 20 approximately 2 miles to MA 49 North. Take 49N approximately 7.5 miles, then Right onto Rt. 9. Follow Rt. 9 (becomes Main Street, Spencer). Pass through downtown area, past Town Hall and very large white Congregational Church, both on left.     From the North Fork of Long Island: Take the Cross Sound Ferry from Orient Point to New London, CT. From light at Ferry exit, turn right and follow signs to Rt. 32 towards Norwich. Merge onto I-395 North and follow to Massachusetts. Take Exit 4B towards Oxford Ctr., to right turn onto Rt. 12 North. Take Rt. 12 to Rt. 56 (left turn) towards Leicester. At signal light at Main Street, Leicester, turn Left onto Rt. 9 West. Follow Rt. 9 to Spencer (Rt. 9 becomes Main Street, Spencer).
