Deacon's Room

Our inn is the perfect choice for your romantic getaway or a relaxing seaside vacation.

This historic home was owned from 1750 until 1929 by a member of the Hall family. In that family, there were a number of deacons. Homage is paid to them in the naming of the Deacon's Room.

This quiet and lovely guest room is tucked away on the second floor of the Inn for your privacy. The en-suite bath has a well-lit vanity area and a step-in shower with an adjustable showerhead. The room has original white wood walls that give it the feel of a seaside cottage retreat. The look is completed with a dark blue, handmade, queen-size bed where you can snuggle into the comfort of hand-pressed, luxury bed linens. The room is decorated with yellow and blue accents and opens onto a deck with a bistro table and chairs. You can enjoy your morning coffee or tea on the deck, or spend a quiet moment with a good book and a glass of wine. This charming and bright room has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing Cape Cod Bay holiday.

Hallstead Room

Our Cape Cod bed and breakfast lodging offers a unique experience with first-class accommodations and service.

This historic home that now serves as an alternative to hotels in Sandwich, MA was built in 1750. At that time, a farm was called a "stead." As this one was owned by C. B. Hall, it was known as Hallstead. The Hallstead Room is named for this farm.

This beautiful and sunny second-floor room has an antique reproduction queen bed that features hand-pressed luxury bed linens, a large closet, and a cozy seating area where you can enjoy your morning coffee or tea and there is a flat-screen TV. A window near the seating area overlooks one of the Inn's gardens. This wonderful room has original hardwood floors and is a beautiful green with lilac accents and original artwork. A bright, private en-suite bath, with a pedestal sink and a combination tub and shower with an adjustable shower head, completes this lovely room. This room is a favorite of many of our returning guests. Relax with a good book and a glass of wine. If you didn't bring a book, you are welcome to select one from the Inn's library.

Lottie Chipman Room

Our Inn offers unique and beautiful rooms for your romantic Cape Cod getaway. You will feel as though you are staying in your own seaside retreat, a wonderful alternative to lodging in traditional hotels.

Charlotte Hall Chipman, known as Lottie to her friends, was the last Hall family heir to reside in what is now our Sandwich bed and breakfast. She lived here until the early 1900s.Our Lottie Chipman Room was named in her honor.

This spacious and sunny room is located on the second floor of the Inn. It is a lovely lavender room with green accents and original polished hardwood floors. The room features an antique, four-poster queen bed with sheer tie-backs at each post. You are sure to enjoy the comfort of our beautiful, hand-pressed luxury bed linens. There is a large, private, en-suite bath with a combination tub and shower with an adjustable shower head. Windows in the bedroom and bath overlook one of the Inn's gardens. The windows are equipped with room-darkening shades for those who like to sleep in. A Claire Murray hooked rug enhances the Cape Cod feel of this lovely room. On cool fall and winter evenings, you can enjoy a cozy fire in the original working fireplace. There is a flat-screen television with Cable and DVD player. A selection of movies is available for guests to enjoy.

Miss Charlotte's Room is a charming, first-floor room with starfish accents and possesses the character of a seaside hideaway. It is a lovely peach color with blue and white accents and is spacious and comfortable. Sleep the night away in a beautiful, antique, four-poster queen bed that features luxurious, hand-pressed bed linens and is draped at each corner with starfish-accented sheers. The private, en-suite bath has a large, well-lit vanity and a spacious step-in shower. The shower head is adjustable for your comfort. The original polished hardwood floors remind you of the historic significance of this 260-year-old home and are complemented with a Claire Murray hooked rug. Our Robert Morse Room is named for the second family to own this historic home. This quiet, second-floor, airy and spacious room is quintessential Cape Cod. For your sleeping pleasure, it has a king bed that features luxurious hand-pressed linens to rival deluxe hotel honeymoon suites on Cape Cod. The en-suite bath is a bright and sunny, European-style water closet with beautiful bead board trim and a shower with an adjustable shower head. There is a vanity with a porcelain sink and a large window brings lots of light into the bath. The room is decorated in ocean blues with white accents. Original pumpkin pine floors, antiques, and wicker complete the seaside cottage feel of this wonderful room. There is also a flat-screened TV. There is an original, 260-year-old fireplace constructed of handmade bricks that demonstrates the antique significance of this historic home. On cool fall and winter evenings, you can enjoy a cozy fire. This lovely room opens onto a deck with bistro tables and chairs where you can enjoy your early morning coffee and tea or a quiet moment relaxing with a good book and a glass of wine.

    We want your Cape Cod vacation or romantic getaway at the 1750 Inn at Sandwich Center to exceed all your expectations. In order to insure that everyone has an enjoyable stay, the inn is a non-smoking property. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our policies.

    Minimum Stay of two (2) nights is required. We do our very best to provide the room you request. On rare occasions, circumstances occur that require a change in rooms. We reserve the right to make this change but you are guaranteed a comparable room. Due to the flow of guests, a stay of one (1) night can sometimes be accommodated. We welcome inquires at 508-888-6958.

    Check-in is from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. If your travel plans require an earlier or later check-in, advance notice by email or a phone call will insure that someone is available when you arrive.

    Check-out is 11:00 am.

    No smoking is permitted anywhere on the property.

    Room rates quoted for our guest rooms are for two (2) adults per room. State and local taxes of 9.7% are additional.

    Because of the historic nature of our B&B, we are not wheelchair accessible and we cannot accommodate children unless they are 12 or older and accompanied by an adult.

    We regretfully cannot accommodate pets.

    All personal information about our guests that is collected during the reservation process remains private and secure.

    A deposit of one-half (50%) of the full amount of your stay is required to guarantee your reservation.

    We accept MasterCard, VISA, and AMEX. Reservations may be guaranteed with credit cards or personal checks. We request that checks be received within five days after the booking is made to maintain the reservation.

    A minimum 14-day notice of cancellation of a reservation is required for a refund of deposit, minus a minimum $25 or 10% processing fee. Cancellation must be made via telephone, directly with the Innkeepers, as email and voice mail can be unreliable. Please be aware that for cancellations received with less than the required 14-day notice, you are responsible for the full amount of the reserved period unless the room(s) can be rebooked for the entire reserved period. If the room(s) can be rebooked, we will gladly refund your deposit, less a minimum $25 or 10% processing fee. For reservations made inside the 14-day cancellation period, we reserve the right to run the full amount of the stay. Guests are responsible for the entire length of the reservation. Shortened stays will not generate a refund unless made a full 14 days prior to check-in. "No-shows" are charged for the full amount of the stay.
