Rockport is a small seaport, one-hour north of Boston at the end of Route 128. Most famous as an art colony, the town was a major granite shipper until the depression closed the quarries. Today, vacationers sunbathe on the rocks and beaches, take walks through the woods or along the shore, or watch the whales from boats out of Rockport or Gloucester. The Rockport Golf Club has a fine nine hole course about three miles from the Emerson, and there are tennis courts less than a mile from the inn.

The inn is available all year and can accommodate parties up to 150 guests. The main floor and ocean-side grounds can be rented between 12:00 noon and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Meal prices begin at $47 per person, plus tax and gratuity. We offer a full array of fine wines & spirits to accompany your special occasion. Our wedding coordinator can also refer you to the best suppliers of everything you will need, from flowers to the wedding cake.

Driving Directions:

• Take Route 128 North to Gloucester, following Route 128 through to two rotaries and turn left onto Route 127 North at the traffic light.
• Continue approximately 4 miles (staying on Route 127) you will take a sharp left at Rockport's five corners (again remaining on Route 127).
• Follow signs to Pigeon Cove. Continue approximately 2 miles and turn right on to Phillips Avenue at the Emerson Inn Sign.

From Boston's Logan Airport:

• Take Route 1A North to Route 60 West.
• 60 West to Route 1 North.
• Route 1 North will get you to 128 north, then follow directions at the top.

Although we are easy to reach by car, Rockport also has good rail service from North Station in Boston. Complimentary shuttle service is available to and from the Rockport Train Station.
