Our spacious, comfortable living room is in the oldest part of the house. The fireplace, bay window and Dutch oven add to its old world charm. Guests can find a pleasant place to read, relax, or visit with other guests or neighboring friends and relatives. Cable TV is located here. Intimate weddings have been held here. Family reunions, weekending alumni groups and small business meetings have all used the living room to meet their unique needs. Each day, enjoy a gourmet breakfast in our sunlit, cafe-style breakfast room. Guests are also welcome to bring in take-out items to have lunch or dinner at home. A small refrigerator is located here. With whole-house bookings, the room can be reconfigured to meet your needs.
Enjoy an early cup of coffee, catch a few rays, read your newspaper, watch the birds and bunnies, smell the flowers. Our backyard deck overlooks the garden and woods beyond. It has been the site of birthday parties, bridal and baby showers, and an intimate wedding reception.
Situated on over three acres, the Inn is surrounded by a splendid array of seasonal flowers. Mature shade trees and wooded paths complement the sunny gardens. The attractive gazebo is a favorite place to read, doze after a day on the go, or commune with nature or friends. The rocking chairs on our front porch overlook idyllic Oyster Pond and its resident swans and a great blue heron.

Whole House Events The common areas at Chapoquoit Inn provide an attractive and functional venue for special gatherings. We have hosted intimate weddings, small family reunions, alumnae weekends, business meetings, and baby and bridal showers. Special vacations for groups can also be arranged, for example, a health and fitness weekend.
When you book the entire house with its five guestrooms for two or more nights, you have exclusive use of the living room, breakfast room, deck and grounds. We can help you locate caterers and other outside resources to meet your special needs.

Aside from relaxing at the Inn, you will find countless outdoor pastimes to suit your taste: beaches, trails for walking and biking, golf, tennis and boating. Woods Hole -- home to a number of world-renowned scientific institutions -- provides opportunities to learn about scientific exploration and marine life. Music, theater and art are close by, and throughout the year there are community festivals, such as Arts Alive, JazzFest and our famous "Holidays-By-the-Sea" Christmas parade. Beaches: Ten Falmouth beaches -- some on Buzzards Bay and some on Vineyard Sound -- are within 10 miles of Chapoquoit Inn. Chapoquoit Beach is a short walk away, and Old Silver Beach is five minutes by car. At the Inn you can purchase day passes that allow you to park at "residents only" beach lots.
Biking & Walking: The Shining Sea Bikeway -- just steps away from the Inn-- is a 10.6 mile paved path for biking, walking and rollerblading. The route from North Falmouth to Woods Hole passes through cranberry bogs, nature preserves and the Great Sippewissett Marsh, into wooded areas and along the shoreline. Leave your car at the Inn and go green to Falmouth village and Woods Hole. The Inn has a number of complimentary bicycles.
Arts & Entertainment: The Falmouth area is rich in cultural resources. Take in a performance of the College Light Opera Company (CLOC), Woods Hole Theatre Company or Falmouth Theatre Guild. Shopping: What's a vacation without shopping? Charming Falmouth village has a wide variety of unique local shops to choose from. We recommend a leisurely Main Street stroll. A few minutes down Route 151 is Mashpee Commons, a lovely shopping complex of little streets and brick sidewalks. There are one-of-a-kind and well-known shops amid numerous restaurants.
Fine & Casual Dining: The Upper Cape has the full spectrum of eating establishments. Of course, great seafood is a given. Your dining experiences can range from a boxed picnic on the beach to a five-course gourmet meal aboard the Elegant Dinner Train -- and everything in between.
