    Our awesome "heart of town" location, our harbor views and our reputation for a friendly, fun well-informed staff.

    What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

    Our island knowledge and our ability to make each guests' stay unique to them! We are know for truly being vacation "Getaway Central" on The Vineyard and for offering creative and fun packages.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    Edgartown is the prettiest village on a magical island that holds a sense of mystique for everyone who has ever heard of it.

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    From one of our recent Trip Advisor reviews: Above all, the staff was so friendly and catered to our every need, whether it be recommendations for breakfast or supplies for the beach. Joanne and Evelyn are fantastic and if you have any questions, Wes who is also at the desk is one of those jack-of all trades where no task seems too large or small. I asked if he helps with weddings, because I know he would deliver top notch service for us!

    What’s the best kept secret about the area?

    That there is much more to Martha’s Vineyard than just the beaches in summer.  There are lots of fun activities and reasons to visit us year round!

    Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    Absolutely everything! The harbor, all the town's shops and restaurants, sailing, fishing, Edgartown lighthouse, museums, and so much more.

    What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

    Chesca's, right on site at the hotel, is one of the best restaurants in town. For espresso and sandwiches, we LOVE Espresso Love.

  • Onsite Restaurant — Chesca’s at Vineyard Square

    Dinner served Thursday-Saturday nights from 5:30-10:00 pm through October 20.

    You needn’t go far for a wonderful Edgartown dining experience. Although separately owned and operated, Chesca’s is located right off the Vineyard Square hotel lobby and front porch and serves dinner nightly in season (mid-April through Columbus Day weekend). Known throughout Martha’s Vineyard as a ‘must stop’ for every visitor, the menu features Island favorites and fresh seafood, and includes a mix of traditional and more contemporary Italian cuisine.

    Garden Courtyard

    Our outdoor patio area offers a relaxed, informal gathering place surrounded by beautiful flowers. A great enlivening space for small groups.

    Parlor Suites

    Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites offers four, one-bedroom suites, in varying configurations, that can accommodate small meetings or break-out sessions of up to twelve people.

    Dr. Daniel Fisher House

    Built in 1840 for whaling magnate Dr. Daniel Fisher this completely restored mansion offers maximum flexibility for groups booking for an uncommon experience. Three parlor size rooms, a ballroom, large porch and lawn are available to meet the requirements of small executive retreats as well as elegant receptions up to 250.

    Old Whaling Church

    This landmark was built by whaling captains as a Methodist Church in 1843. Considered to be one of the finest examples of Greek revival architecture in New England, the church houses the Frederick Baylies Room on its first floor – offering an adaptable setting for groups of up to 150.
