The 170 year old Chatham Gables Inn is a historic Sea Captain's Manse built in Chatham, MA in 1839 and completely restored in 2010. Today, guests from all over the world enjoy private, sophisticated and well appointed guest rooms with personalized services and boutique amenities.

All of the rooms at the historic Chatham Gables Inn have recently been renovated and provide guests with a classic yet sophisticated setting during their stay on Cape Cod. Guests of the inn can appreciate amenities and services including designer furniture and fabrics, private baths, air conditioning, LCD flat screen TVs, complimentary WiFi, luxurious Matouk bedding and Pharmacopia bath amenities. Many guest rooms have their own fireplaces and private entrances.
Your stay with us includes a delicious full breakfast for two in our sunlit Garden Room. After a night in one of our spacious and beautifully restored guest rooms, join us for a sumptuous morning meal between 8:30 and 9:30. The Garden Room opens out to our patio area and grounds, where you are welcome to stroll and relax with your morning coffee. And be sure to take in our breakfast gallery area, where an ever-changing array of works from Cape Cod local artists is displayed.
The classic B and B fare you’ll enjoy as our guest includes fresh coffee and juices, a hearty hot entree, and of course homemade breads and pastries. What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
Chatham Gables Inn is best known for its warm hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and great location. This was originally an 1839 Sea Captain's Home.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
The number one reason to visit this area is to experience Cape Cod. The area is breathtaking and untouched. People come to stand in awe of Cape Cod's National SeaShore.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
Our guests feel like they "come home" once they enter the inn.
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
You will find that this area has the best Lobster Rolls around!
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
Anyone staying for longer than a weekend should try and visit Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Provincetown, and surely go whale watching. We also recommend spending one day on the little island beach across the water from the Chatham Fish Pier.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
There's plenty within walking distance including museums, restaurants, a fish pier, beaches, many restaurants, and Main Street Shopping.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
There are many restaurants but we are partial to Del Mar, Impudent Oyster, and Chatham Squire.

Here at CGI we love celebrations……in fact, we celebrate in some fashion every day here at the Inn! Let us be part of your special celebration. With our lovely garden and sweet koi pond, we can offer the perfect place for an intimate outdoor ceremony during the warmer months……and when the cold winds start to blow and there becomes a nip in the air, our beautiful front entry room we call The Libray, is the perfect setting for your special ceremony with its beautiful blue toile wallpaper and stately fireplace. We offer our beautiful Inn for your very special ceremonies. We ask the ceremonies are intimate (2-6 people), and that you stay with us for a minimum of 2 nights. We offer the ceremonies to take place after breakfast and before check- ins: between 11:00AM – 2:30PM. We will be happy to provide a list of local resources for flowers, cake, candies, JP, etc. We would love to take the pictures for you if you would like!! The fee for this special service is $350 plus the in-season cost of your accommodation including taxes.

Chatham is conveniently located at the elbow of Cape Cod making it the perfect launching point for day trips to Provincetown, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Surrounded on three sides by water, guests enjoy year round trips to the many different beaches in Chatham, including Lighthouse Beach on the Atlantic, Pleasant Bay Beach on the bay and Harding’s Beach on Nantucket Sound.
Staying at CGI means you have year round access. From small town band concerts in the village gazebo to classic baseball games under the lights.
From Boston/North: Route 93 South to Rt. 3 South, following signs to Cape Cod, Route 6 & Hyannis which take you right to the Sagamore Bridge. Go over bridge and onto Route 6 East.
From Providence/West: Route 195 East to Cape Cod, Route 25 East, Exit 3 to Route 6, Hyannis/Provincetown, 3/4 around rotary straight onto Rt. 6 paralleling Cape Cod Canal. Go over Sagamore Bridge which continues you onto Rt 6. East.
From Route 6:
Inland Route: Take Exit 11, turn left onto Rt. 137 south. Straight through first set of traffic lights and straight through flashing lights, continuing on 137S to Route 28 (t-shaped intersection) The Bassett House Information Center should be in front of you. Left onto Rt. 28 for 3 miles to Chatham rotary. Take Old Harbor Rd. off rotary, between white church and Mobil Station, the Chatham Gables Inn is 1/2 - 3/4 mile on right.
Ocean Route: Take Exit 11, turn left onto Rt. 137 South. Take first left (approx. 1/10 mile) onto Pleasant Bay Rd. Follow through stop sign to T-shaped intersection, Rt. 28(approx. 1.9 miles) Turn right onto Rt. 28 to first traffic light (approx. 3 miles) Turn right at light onto Old Harbor Rd. The Chatham Gables Inn is 100 yards on the left.
