Mary Prentiss Inn Over one hundred and fifty years ago The Mary Prentiss Inn was a country estate. Today, it sets in an urban landscape with universities, museums, theaters, shops, and restaurants footsteps away.

Come join us and experience a historic Cambridge House built in the neoclassic Greek Revival Style with a full front porch adorned with fluted columns and Ionic capitals.

The house was constructed in 1843 by William Saunders, a prominent Cambridge house wright, for his son, William Augustus and his new wife Mary Prentiss. The Mary Prentiss Inn is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places and received the Massachusetts Historical Commission Preservation Award in 1995.

Relax in comfortable spacious rooms each uniquely different. Many have high ceilings, hardwood floors and are all beautifully appointed with classic and vintage furnishings; four poster and cannonball beds, Windsor chairs, 100% cotton linens, and antique armoires.

All guest rooms have private bathrooms with tubs and tiled showers, some rooms have working fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs.

Suite Bathroom This tiled suite bathroom with tub and shower shows some of the amenities we provide for our guests; hair dryers mounted on the wall in case you have forgotten to pack yours, two sided swivel mirror, and of course soaps, shampoo, bath gel, hand cream, and shower caps are also stocked for your use. Each bathroom is decorated differently and this particular bathroom features a row of the owners Chardware which accents around the entire bathroom.

This is an example of an attic style room located on the third floor of the main house. When this room was refurbished we were able to restore the wide board pumpkin pine floors which date back to the late 1800's. All the attic rooms have sloped ceilings with exposed beams, and no closets. If you are very tall we would not recommend this room for your stay. They range in price depending on the time of year $99 - $159. Guest Room
