    Welcome to The Gryphon House

The Garden

The smallest accommodation at the Gryphon House with all of the amenities of our larger suites.Garden is our most affordable room, a cozy jewel on the basement level of the Gryphon House (three steps down from street level.) Garden is decorated with a botanical theme and features a green iron canopy bed, an intimate dining space, and a loveseat sitting area by the corner gas fireplace. The large private bathroom features a combined tub and shower.

Aerie

Aerie features an offset sleeping area with a queen bed and in the living space there is a trundle day-bed which makes the room perfect for for a family with one or two children (but not four adults.) It has a gorgeous wine-colored private bathroom with both a glassed-in shower and deep tub

Victoria

Victoria is a spacious room on the third floor (please note that we do not have an elevator) with an abundance of turn-of-the-last-century charm: crystal chandelier, custom-made silk lampshades, and a white iron and brass queen bed.  Victoria has a pale gold marble bathroom featuring a separate tub and shower.

Riverview

Riverview doesn't quite say it all. Yes, it does have a great view of Cambridge, MIT, and the Charles River, but a lot of effort was put into the details to create an "Arts and Craft" period decor. Riverview has a queen bed and there's room to add an aerobed for a third person if needed. It's a comfortable room for dining in with a large cherry table in front of the gas fireplace.

Tuscany

Welcome to Tuscany Boston style! Tuscany is a second-floor suite decorated in warm tones that were very much in vogue in the Victorian era, with a rustic Mediterranean theme. It has a queen sized sleigh bed and there is space to add an aerobed for a third person, if needed. The large marble bathroom features custom decorated fixtures, a three-sided glass enclosed shower and a deep tub.

Sanctuary

One of our coziest suites decorated in a neo-gothic theme. Sanctuary is a full studio apartment which can accommodate 3 people, with a single bed in addition to a queen and lots of closet space. It’s decorated with a Neo-Gothic theme and has a central sitting/dining/work area flanked by a long built-in bench under the windows. Sanctuary has a tiled bathroom with a combined tub and shower

Morningside

The front suite on the second floor. Sunlight filters into the suite through the majestic branches of the mature Maple tree directly in front of the bow window facing Beacon Street. A favorite among our guests, Morningside is one of our largest rooms, with a grand sitting area in front of the fireplace, dining area, offset sleeping area, built in desk and storage, and plenty of room to stretch out! We can easily add an aerobed to accommodate a third person. The large, tiled bathroom has a shower stall and a deep bathtub for a relaxing soak.

NorthTower

The North Tower room is the largest in the Gryphon House and it boasts a beautiful view of the Charles River and MIT campus across the water. North Tower has a semi-private sleeping area with a queen bed and has a trundle day-bed in the living area so it can accommodate a family with two children (but not four adults.) The bathroom is luxurious with a deep tile-accented tub and separate glassed-in shower.
