The Smith College Room

Soft yellow walls, blue floral toile: the colors of Smith College create a spacial framework, within which select natural elements, such as a sisal carpet and woven Roman shades, create a sense of calm and relaxation. This room delivers on the promise of every great B&B: a home away from home.
-
The Wellesley Room

The foundation for the overall design scheme began with the application of a soft grey/green wall color, chosen to bring the feeling of the exterior landscape indoors, and to highlight the room's existing architectural features. A wood and cane radiator cover and a matching set of custom-designed bookcase doors provide additional textural and natural elements. A welcoming, tranquil bedroom suite with an understated, quietly sophisticated style.
-
The Emmanuel College Room

The watercolor of Mount Vernon Church in Boston pays tribute to the similar architecture at Emmanuel College, while the framed antique botanical prints reflect the flora found in Back Bay's Fenway where Emmanuel is located.
-
The Vassar Room

The concept for the Vassar Room was inspired by the classic gentlemen's club aesthetic prevalent in the Victorian period when the building was constructed. The wall color draws upon the rich, deep terra cotta reds of that period, and coordinates with a wonderful antique tapestry, which hung for many years in the main parlor of the Club, and now hangs over this room's fireplace.

The Radcliffe Room

The designers of the Radcliffe College room took aesthetic cues from Radcliffe's women-in-sports photos from the 1920s and '30s. Black and white photography around the room is complemented by an ebony trim on the bombé chest. The photo of the Public Garden above the chest reflect's The Club's most famous neighbor.
-
The Boston University Room

The decorative theme for the Boston University room was inspired by the age and grace of the College Club architecture. A signature fabric, "Pansy," a time-honored English design from Brunschwig & Fils, graces the ten foot windows. A contemporary rose damask creates a window sitting area. A cozy guest room set in an expansive space.
-
The Oberlin College Room

Designed as a companion to the adjacent Smith College room, these two rooms can be used as a suite for guests. Oberlin College memorabilia give a sense of charm and history, while the blue and yellow color scheme and framed botannical prints create a warm and inviting space overlooking tree-lined Commonwealth Avenue.
-
The Connecticut College Room

The bedroom walls are painted a deep camel hair color in honor of Connecticut College's mascot, the camel. Other nods to the mascot - and the school - include the antique copper plate engravings, antique map, and Currier & Ives prints, as well as the blue and white/school colors fabric used throughout
-
The Tufts Room

A traditional swag with jabot panels, fashioned out of a bold, wide-stripe fabric, frames the inside of a high-ceiling window, simultaneously accentuating the grand moldings while drawing the eye to the beautiful views of Commonwealth Avenue. A reading area captures the richness, warmth, and comfort of Tisch Library, the inspiration for the room.
-
The Simmons College Room

Sheer shades can be lowered from the top of shuttered windows to provide light and a upper-floor view. A fabric in the Simmons College colors of blue and gold trims highlights the bed and the windows' seating area. Simmons College memorabilia and archival pictures of its students and buildings complement and provide personality to the space.
