For outdoor folks, Mt. Wachusett, Rutland State Park and the Quabbin Reservoir provide some of the most beautiful hiking trails in summer and ski vacations in winter.     Travelers stay at our Inn for different reasons:

    • Visiting family in the area
    • Visiting the Buddhist study center in town
    • Hiking along the many trails in our protected wooded areas

    What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

    We are known for our comfortable beds, great food and hospitality.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    Best reason to visit Barre is the history of the town including the wonderful museum at the historical society building in town as well as the beauty of the town common and the surrounding area of unspoiled nature.

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    Best compliment that we received is that we have covered everything that a guest could need in our rooms as well as the comfort of our pillow top mattresses and the great breakfast that we serve.

    What’s the best kept secret about the area?

    The best kept secret about our area is that there are so many beautiful natural woods and meadows and walking paths that are preserved and open to explore.

    If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

    If a guest is staying 4 or more nights, he/she should see the alpaca farms in the area, the herb farm, the wineries, the cheese trails, the antique shops, the quabbin reservoir, the Worcester art museum and the sunrise and sunset.

    Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    We have an Audubon sanctuary, antique shop, historical museum and town commons within walking distance of the Inn.

    What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

    We have fine dining here at the Inn with a wonderful wine list; we make all of our desserts from scratch and seasonal outdoor seating.

    We have brochures in our rack by the reception desk for guests to reference in the area.

    Our Restaurant is Open to the Public for Lunch and Dinner... Breakfast is for our overnight guests only.... Juice: Orange, Pineapple, Grapefruit, Tomato or Cranberry

    Entrees: Scottish Oatmeal w/Cranberris & Walnuts Caramel Raspberry French Toast Breakfast Crepe/Egg, Bacon & Cheese w/Salsa Poached Eggs on an English Muffin Scrambled Eggs w/Herbs and Toast.  Choice of bacon or sausage patties.

    Our breakfast is served with your choice of freshly brewed coffee, tea {black, green, red, white or herbal}, cocoa, or milk.

    Rack of Lamb: Roast New Zealand rack with mint jelly served with potato, vegetable and a tossed salad

    Beef Flat Iron Steak:  Grilled w/BBQ Sauce and served w/potato, vegetable and a tossed salad

    Chicken Cordon Bleu: Canadian bacon & swiss cheese wrapped in a chicken breast, served with Potato, Vegetable and a Tossed Salad

    We have an extensive dessert menu with creme brulee, flourless chocolate cake, Joe's homemade pies, cheesecake and other special desserts made here on premises along with David's sorbets and ice cream. We also specialize in a wide array of teas, coffee, chai latte and espresso drinks.
