  • Introduction

The Jenkins Inn in Historic Barre, MA is a great spot to explore the beauty of New England.  This c1834 Gothic revival sits on a corner at the north end of the town common.  Walk to Antique shops, eateries, audubon sanctuary or just a stroll around the town common.  Come inside the Jenkins Inn and feel the comfortable setting of a home away from home.

From In-room wi-fi and cable TV to a delicious home cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner in a relaxed dining room, or cocktails, coffee or tea in a comfortable bar and lounge, the Jenkins Inn's friendly and professional innkeepers are ready to service.

Conveniently located in central Mass., the Inn is just an hour and a half from Boston and southern Maine and an hour to the Berkshires and western Mass-and close to shopping and theaters in Worcester or sightseeing in Old Sturbridge Village. For outdoor folks, Mt. Wachusett, Rutland State Park and the Quabbin Reservoir provide some of the most beautiful hiking trails in summer and ski vacations in winter. Golfers will enjoy many nearby groomed courses-hunters and fishermen will appreciate the plentiful wildlife in local forests and streams.

If you're hunting for treasures, shops abound in all of our surrounding communities including Brimfield, MA, the antique capital of the world. The Jenkins Inn is noted on the National Register of Historic Homes and is located in one of the most pristine areas in central New England. We are members of the Professional Association of Innkeepers International. Enjoy the best New England has to offer.... the warmth and hospitality of the Jenkins Inn.
