Pets Welcome
We will gladly welcome your four-legged friend to stay in your room with you but we do have a few stipulations:
- We can only allow one dog in a room.
- If you choose to leave him/her in the room unattended she/he must be in a crate.
- Less than 75 lbs.
- Over 1 year old.
- Only certain rooms are allocated for guests with their dogs and these are 1st floor rooms of the Main House. We do not allow dogs in the Suites.
- Dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room or Spa.
Although the Inn welcomes your pet, not all people are as pet friendly as we are and we ask that you respect other guests.
We do charge $50; your little friend will receive a bed to use during their stay, treats and a toy to take home.

Guest Rooms & Rates
Our Chesapeake Inn is located in four historic houses. The main building houses eight guest rooms, the Spa, indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Directly across the street from the main house is the original Inn where two historic homes were joined together; we have three Suites and three queen size rooms in this building. Our newly renovated house has our new breakfast room, five suites and one queen size room. On site parking is available at each location. VIEW MAPS.
QUEEN: Each room provides a plush queen bed, private bathroom with a single whirlpool tub/shower, seasonal fireplace, hardwood floors, AC, cable TV with VCR & CD players - some have balconies .
KING: Each room provides a plush king bed, private bathroom with whirlpool tub/shower, seasonal fireplace, balcony, hardwood floors, AC, cable TV with VCR & CD players.

DELUXE KING: Each room provides a plush king bed, private bathroom with double whirlpool tub with separate shower, hardwood floors, seasonal fireplaces, balcony, AC, cable TV with VCR & CD players.
SUITE: Each unique suite provides a living room area, plush king or queen bed, private bathroom with double whirlpool tub and separate shower (equipped with multi-headed jets and rain shower), seasonal fireplace, AC, cable TV with VCR or DVD & CD players - some have balconies .
DELUXE SUITE: Larger than a regular suite, this suite provides a living room area, plush king bed, private bathroom with double whirlpool tub and separate shower (equipped with multi-headed jets and rain shower), seasonal fireplace, AC, cable TV with DVD player and CD players.
Policies
The mission at Five Gables is to offer our guests a comfortable relaxing getaway.
We take pride in the ambience we have created for our guests. All of our rooms have private baths and gas fireplaces. We have a spa, indoor pool, steam room, and sauna which are for all our guests to use.
There is a two-night minimum stay on all weekends. A two-night weekend consists of Fri./Sat or Sat./Sun. Weekend rates will apply on both nights and on Holidays.
We offer many packages that include overnight or two night stays and massages. Like our room layouts and common areas, these packages are designed for couples. We do not consider the Inn child friendly. We find that most of our guests are here for some sort of romantic getaway or a quiet peaceful escape and children are a major distraction in the common areas of our Inn. The rate of the room is for one or two people only. There will be an additional charge of $100.00 for each additional persons in the room no matter what the age.
We have five dog friendly rooms – 4 king rooms and 1 suite. The fee for one dog is $50 and $25 for an additional dog. We loan our 4 legged guests a bed and bowl and give them a toy and treats to remember their stay. All dogs must be crated when left alone in a room. Dogs are not allowed in any of the common areas in the Inn including the dining room and Spa.
We hope that our guests are always considerate of our other guests. We do not allow late night parties and disturbances of any kind. We ask all guests at check in to provide us with a cell phone that we can reach them on. We will call if there are noise disturbances of any kind. And, we will ask guests to leave if the complaints continue.
DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICIES
• A deposit equal to one night’s stay will be charged upon booking.
• Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance will incur a 10% processing fee; 90% of the deposit will be refunded.
• Cancellations made less than 14 days in advance will receive a 90% refund IF the room is resold. If the room is not resold, the deposit will be retained and any remaining balance will be charged.
• All cancellations must be in writing; emails are accepted.
• It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that the cancellation is received.
• A cancellation email will be sent to the guest immediately upon processing.
•To ensure the quiet peaceful ambiance of the Inn, children are not permitted.
