Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to Aida Khalil Trissell for sharing her secrets with BBOnline.com! Why do most travelers stay at your inn?
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
We are on the harbor, in town, walking distance to all the attractions. Our location and the guests constantly say how it feels like they are at home.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
To enjoy our historic town on the harbor and eat fresh Maryland blue crabs!
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
That they want to take us home with them.
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
Claiborne beach – local's spot (tucked away, a nice spot escape for the afternoon and search for sea glass).
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
After spending a day relaxing, shopping and visiting the winery, I would suggest visiting 3 neighboring communities. They are just a short ways away. Take a ferry ride to Oxford, a skipjack ride from Tilghman, and have dessert up in historic Easton- all within 15 mins of us.

There are many options for enjoying the waterways around St. Michaels. The cruises--the easiest and cheapest is the Patriot, which leaves its dock about 100 yards from the Inn every 2 hours or so and takes about one hour. There is a sailboat the Selina that leaves from the harbor for a two hour cruise, you will need reservations as it only take 6 people at a time.
If you want to sail on a skipjack from Tilghman Island, there are three options:
- Rebecca Ruark(an entertaining Captain Wade pilots the boat)

- The Lady Patty. Most of these leave three times per day and have a sunset cruise.
There are a couple of charters that can take you for longer cruises. There is also an all day fishing trip you can reserve--4 to 6 people, that leaves about 4 miles from the Inn.
You can rent boats from the Tilghman Marina. Kayaks can be rented on site and launched rright in front of our property.
