    The Ship Watch Inn - Chesapeake, MarylandThe Ship Watch Inn was originally built as a residence in the 1920's and completely renovated in 1996. Since then it has been operating as a bed and breakfast that stands apart from others in South Chesapeake City. Completely furnished with antiques dating back to the 1800's, the Inn features the warmth and charm of a southern bed & breakfast with the amenities and service of a modern day hotel. The Ship Watch Inn is the ONLY bed & breakfast in South Chesapeake City that is located on the water's edge along the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal.

    The Ship Watch Inn is located at 401 First Street in South Chesapeake City, Maryland.

    Newark, Delaware:
    Follow Route 896 south to the intersection of Route 40. Cross Route 40 and continue straight on Route 896 south for four miles. Cross the Summit Bridge and take your first right at the base of the bridge onto Route 15. Follow Route 15 for one mile and make a right onto Route 286. Follow Route 286 west to Chesapeake City for four miles. Go around basin and make a right on George Street. Ship Watch Inn is at the end of the street.

    Wilmington & Philadelphia Areas:
    Take I-95 south to Route 896 south (Exit 1A) Follow Route 896 south to the intersection of Route 40. Cross Route 40 and continue straight on Route 896 south for four miles. Cross the Summit Bridge and take your first right at the base of the bridge onto Route 15. Follow Route 15 for one mile and make a right onto Route 286. Follow Route 286 west to Chesapeake City for four miles. Go around basin and make a right on George Street. Ship Watch Inn is at the end of the street.

    Baltimore / DC & Southern Points
    Take I-95 North to the town of North East, Maryland. As you come off the exit, bear to your right and follow Route 272 to the intersection of Route 40 east, approximately three miles. Make a left at the traffic light. Follow Route 40 east for seven miles to the intersection of Route 213. Make a right onto Route 213 and follow for five miles until you go over the Chesapeake City Bridge. Once over the bridge, make a right at the base, once there, you will yield to oncoming traffic and then proceed to a stop sign under the bridge. At the stop sign, make a left onto George Street and follow George Street to the end. Ship Watch Inn is right there.
