Pleasant Springs Farm Bed & Breakfast

16112 Barnesville Road , Boyds, Maryland
Innkeeper(s): Peg & Jim Coleman, Innkeepers
The log cabin at Pleasant Springs Farm, built in 1768, has welcomed family and guests for nearly 250 years. The current owners have made every effort to retain the authenticity, yet provide the finest facilities for today's guests. Professional architects resulted in a prize-winning restoration for this National Register site. The chestnut logs, stone fireplace, tin roof and narrow stairway are much the same as they were when George Washington was a youngster. He would have liked the sparkling bathrooms and stainless steel in the kitchen. Exquisite care is taken of the flower-and-vegetable-filled gardens. Bluebirds and butterflies provide motion. Down at the fish-filled pond, a canoe is ready to be paddled about and a path leads into woods filled with huge old trees.
