The Annapolis Bed and Breakfast Association is a collection of fine, independently owned and operated inns located throughout the Historic District, and close to the US Naval Academy, St. John's College, and Historic Annapolis Harbor. While Annapolis is steeped in history, it is also a vibrant town, with exciting nightlife, unique restaurants, fine art galleries and performance venues. Our town, known as the Sailing Capital of America, is one of the top visitor destinations in the world! Come stay in one of our superior inns and enjoy Annapolis as an Annapolitan.

Annapolis is the oldest continually working State Capital in the country. Yes that’s right. Among other things, we were the capital of the US for a short time, the Treaty of Paris was signed here, and George Washington resigned his commission as President here. There are numerous historic sites, beautiful architecture, all within easy walking. As Annapolitans, the Annapolis Bed & Breakfast Association works closely with various tour groups, museums, etc. Let us help you plan your visit to enjoy this quaint and vibrant living museum we call Annapolis.

Just a few of the many historic destination sites in Annapolis:

    • Annapolis Maritime Museum
    • Banneker-Douglass Museum
    • Chase-Lloyd House
    • Government House
    • Hammond-Harwood House
    • Historic London Town and Gardens
    • History Quest
    • William Paca House

The United States Navy was born during the American Revolution when the need for a naval force to match the Royal Navy became clear. Today, the US Naval Academy is an impressive school with almost 350 acres of Annapolis’s shoreline. A visit to Annapolis would not be complete without a visit and stroll around these pristine grounds. Our Annapolis Bed & Breakfast Association knows these grounds well, and would be pleased to help guide you.

St. John’s College traces its origins to King William's School, the Maryland colony's "free" school founded in 1696. The term free referred to the school's purpose: to make students free through liberal education, an aim that still holds today. It is a beautiful campus, on 36 acres, with only approx. 400 students.

In and around downtown Annapolis, there is a plethora of galleries and theaters with live entertainment to suit anyone’s taste for the arts. As your personal concierge service, the Annapolis Bed & Breakfast Association can help make your stay very enjoyable and culturally rich. Some of the events and locations include:

    • Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre, Inc.
    • Annapolis Symphony Orchestra
    • Chesapeake Arts Center
    • Maryland Federation of Art Gallery
    • Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts
    • McBride Gallery
