Luxurious Guest RoomYork Harbor Inn - Tradition

Little has changed since the Inn first opened its doors more than one hundred years ago. York Harbor has always been one of Maine's loveliest and least-crowded seaside resorts. Surrounded by oceanfront estates, the harbor escaped the commercialization that altered some of Maine's better-known resorts. Each of the many additions to the Inn's 300 year-old common room reflects something of its era. You can trace the Inn's history by strolling through its maze of corridors, a fascinating quilt of architectural styles.

    A Warm Welcome Awaits You

The Old York Historical Society operates a community museum, which includes the oldest jail in America. You'll find Maine's largest zoo and amusement park in the heart of York Beach, and on a clear day you can see miles of scenic coast from the top of Mount Agamenticus. No trip to York is complete without a visit to Nubble Lighthouse, perhaps the most beautiful, and most photographed, lighthouse in America.

Just 5 minutes down the road, guests love the 110 stores and shops in the Kittery Outlet Mall Area and the Kittery Trading Post. Here guests enjoy a wide variety of shopping options plus shopping savings year round.

Guests of the York Harbor Inn in Maine enjoy Antiquing, Seaside Drives and Area Lighthouses, Art Galleries, Kittery Outlet Shopping, Beaches, Golf, Whale Watching, Lobster, Lighthouse, Island and River Boat Tours, Kayaking, Deep Sea Fishing, Year Round and Summer Theatre, Historic House Tours and local Museums, Horseback and Mountain Bike Riding, Holiday Festivals and Seasonal Dinner Theatre.

    Ocean View Dining Room

Did you know that Chef Bonsey was recently selected as one of the top chefs in Maine by Portland Magazine. Whether you dine in the Ocean View 1637 or in the Ship's Cellar Pub you are certain to have an enjoyable experience.

A continental style breakfast is served to our overnight guests from 8 to 10 am. Featured are juice, fresh fruits, yogurts, cereal, bagels, English muffins and our special baked goods. Lunch is served Monday through Saturday downstairs in our Ship's Cellar Pub starting at 11:30 a.m.

1637 Dining & Ship's Cellar PubOur menu, featured in Food & Wine Magazine, emphasizes local seafood, including shrimp, scallops, haddock and lobster! However, there is variety enough to please any palate. Our menu is enriched with a continental flair in our veal, beef and chicken dishes as well as our incomparable sauces. All of our seafood is the freshest available, and much of it is caught in the cold Atlantic off York Harbor. Our vegetables are fresh and salads are served icy cold with our own homemade dressings. Cocktails are served, and you will find our wine list is quite large, yet discriminating. Dinner hours (reservations strongly suggested) are nightly from 5:30 pm to 10 pm.

Sunday Brunch is served from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. For off-season service, please check at the desk as days of food service and hours change in the late spring, fall and winter.
