    Acadia View Bed & Breakfast - Gouldsboro (Acadia Schoodic), Maine

    We are located on a high ocean front bluff with breathtaking views of Frenchman's Bay, the mountains of Acadia National Park and the lights of Bar Harbor, Maine. You will find Acadia View to be a warm and friendly place to stay offering casual elegance in comfortable surroundings. We have four tastefully decorated guest rooms, each with private bathrooms and private decks from which to take in the spectacular views of Frenchman Bay, watch for bald eagles, enjoy a radiant sunset or listen for the loons haunting calls.

    You are free to enjoy the large great room overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, relax in the hammock or take the winding path down to the shoreline. You will wake up to a gourmet breakfast and we will be glad to help you with nearby hiking trails, scenic Maine coastal "down east" spots, local artisans, a kayak tour or day trip adventures such as whale watching. Then again, you might just want to spend several hours relaxing at our bed and breakfast with a good book. There is no rush here. After all, you are in Maine.

    Whether you stay for a day or a week, it is hard to get bored in this part of Maine. You might like to:

    * Hike on one of the many local trails

    * Visit Acadia National Park Schoodic and Mount Desert Island

    * Explore the coast of Maine

    * Play a round of golf

    * Take a guided kayak tour around Bar Harbor and its outskirts or take a coastal cruise.

    * Visit many local artisans

    * Go shopping and treasure hunting in Bar Harbor

    * Sit on our deck and have a glass of wine

    If you are making your first visit to the area or your five-hundredth, you will find Acadia View to be a great place to call home. We are located on Coastal Rt. 1, one of the most scenic roads in America (formally designated a National Scenic Byway along Frenchman's Bay), and we are right in the heart of "Downeast Maine". Your hosts are Jim and Pat Close who want to make sure that your visit is special and that you will leave knowing why Maine's slogan is: "Life the Way it Should Be!"
