To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven...      Ecclesiastes 3:1.

It has been a great honor to have served so many wonderful guests these past nine years, and to have touched upon the lives of people we now call friends. But we find that it is time for us to serve our God in a new capacity as we go forward to the "Winter" of our lives.

We are no longer taking reservations for this Tourist Season in Eastport and are offering our home/business "For Sale."

We will continue to enjoy the beauty of the Eastport area and invite you to call us at: 207-853-2727 if you have a possible interest in purchasing this wonderful home/business.

Thank you all for the all wonderful experiences that we will always treasure.

    God Bless You,
    David and Jill Westphal,
    Owners and Innkeepers

    Eastport, Maine

Eastport, Maine is the easternmost city in the United States and the first to see the sunrise. This small port city is located on Moose Island and is connected to the mainland by a causeway. Its unspoiled natural beauty and rich history make Eastport Maine a "must see" destination.

    The Chadbourne House

Until recently a private residence, the Chadbourne House makes its debut as a Bed and Breakfast in early summer, 2005. Lovingly restored to its original Federal-Style splendor, Chadbourne House is inviting and comfortable. Furnished throughout with antiques and traditional décor, the inn offers a total of three suites and one guest room - all with private full bath. Two of the suites have working fireplaces, and the third can accommodate up to four guests and has a private sitting area. The inn's common areas include a large, sunny parlor with two fireplaces, a formal dining room where a full breakfast is served and lovely gardens in the yard.

Situated near the center of Eastport, The Chadbourne House is perfect for a romantic getaway or when ever you need a little pampering. We invite you to visit our lovely home and make it your own during your stay.

    Meet the Innkeepers

David and Jill Westphal came to Eastport, Maine to explore and enjoy the offerings of the beautiful Down East Coast and - like so many others - fell in love with the pristine area, the warm and friendly people, and vast array of things to do. It didn't take long to decide that this should be the setting for their next life adventure as Innkeepers of the Chadbourne House.

David's longtime passion for baking and cooking leads to many epicurean delights in the kitchen and Jill is a self-confessed garden addict. A Master Gardener in Florida and Wisconsin, the Northeast presents a whole new playing field for her. Jill's main focus is to make the Inn a welcoming and comfortable place for the guests to rest and enjoy.

David and Jill truly enjoy the outdoors, entertaining, company,
and making new friends and look forward to welcoming you to their inn.

As a special feature by prior arrangement on weekends, David will prepare and cook your local lobster, steamers, and mussels, or fresh catch in our garden picnic area, and give tips (for first timers) on how to prep and eat your delicious Maine seafood.
