The king bed is crowned with a majestic original hand carved Victorian headboard. The custom made bed coverings and all natural organic mattress make for a great night’s sleep. Room has matching marble top dresser and ample writing table. The private bath has an original claw foot tub, shower, and marble top sink.

The “hideaway” room is tucked in the turret on the third floor. The turret seating area beckons with the best views in the inn overlooking the harbor and its distant islands, a great spot to relax and unwind. “Memorable Stay! For over 20 years I've stayed at many B&B's. This has to rank as one of my all-time favorites. The experience could not have been better….. The room was large, clean, comfortable and had personality. The food and service at the Pentagoet was flawless - we had breakfast and dined in the evening. Castine was also one our favorite places we visited in Maine during a 10 day visit. It's not like Bar Harbor, Camden or Boothbay Harbor, etc., chocked with cars and people. It is a more peaceful place to relax - great for walking. And it still has a nice selection of restaurants, shops and a beautiful harbor. Policies
- Deposit for Reservations: A deposit is required to confirm your reservation. We request a 50% deposit of your total stay, with a minimum deposit of one night. A confirmation of your reservation will be sent to you once we have received your deposit.
- Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel all or a portion of your visit we will gladly refund your deposit if you have notified us by the cancellation date, 14 days prior to your arrival date. If you must cancel all or a portion of your visit with less than 14 days notice you are responsible for the duration of your stay unless we are able to re-rent the room. If we re-rent your cancelled room the duration of your stay will be refunded fully less a $25 administration fee. Certain group events have different cancellation periods which will be noted in your confirmation letter.
- Check-In is between 3:00 and 6:00 in the afternoon. For arrival after 6:00 in the evening please make arrangements in advance.
- Check-out is at 10:30. If you need a later time please let us know, we have some flexibility.
- Smoking: The Inn is non smoking as per Maine State Law. A cleaning fee of $100 will apply for non-compliance.
- Pets: We do have several pet friendly rooms. There is an additional 25$ cleaning fee for these reservations. As a consideration to our other guests pets are not allowed in the main inn.
