Our luxurious, yet affordable Inn offers guests a choice from 40 rooms, each with a private bath (with an exception of our Economy Rooms). Whitehall Inn provides comfortability through simple opulence, found in the goose feather down pillows, comforters with duvette covers, and imported bed linens.
Whitehall Inn has been recognized by the National Register of Historic Places as a Historic Inn, est 1901. Although the charm and grace from its era have been preserved, our Inn also offers modern amenities. Guest can relax and socialize in our many common rooms, such as the music room, the large verandas, and the bar.
We are located at the base of Mount Battie amongst a neighborhood of grand historic homes. From the Inn, guest can walk 10 short minutes to the harbor and shopping disctrict for a full day of activities.

What makes your inn unique?
The history: Edna St. Vincent Millay, one of America’s most loved poets and the first female to win the Pulitzer prize in Poetry, was ‘discovered’ at our inn in 1912.

Camden is the quintessential New England harbor town, while the Whitehall Inn is the quintessential Maine Inn. Camden has been dubbed the most picturesque town in Maine. The harbor is stunning! It is the only place on the East Coast where the mountains (Mt. Battie) meet the sea.

Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
The Whitehall Inn is less than ½ mile from the center of Camden Harbor with all the great shops and world class restaurants. Just far enough not to be bothered by the traffic congestion.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
Lobster, Lobster, Lobster – always gets top billing, but the fresh local scallops and halibut are to die for!

We have 40 rooms; 4 of these are 2 bedroom suites.
Do you accept pets?
We do not allow pets, but are happy to recommend pet motels in the area.
A bountiful full breakfast is served in Vincent's dining hall from 7:00 to 10:00 am. Dinner is also available for our guests from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. For more than a century, the Whitehall Inn has been the leading venue for weddings and receptions in midcoast Maine.
Unlike many venues, we are flexible. This is your day! We can easily accommodate small and medium sized groups up to 125 persons, but we also have hosted parties up to 150. Our menus are generally customized to meet your desires. Contact us for sample menus or visit our website.
Our receptions are affordable. Most of our receptions cost between $55-65 per person, plus tax and service charge, with no added charges for use of our facilities. We are proud that many of our return guests were engaged at the inn or shared part of their special day here and we would appreciate the opportunity to host yours.
