FROM THE SOUTH: Take Exit 44 (formerly 6A) off the Maine Turnpike to Interstate 295. Continue on 295, and a few miles north of Freeport, get onto Route 1 north at Exit 28 (formerly 22), marked "Coastal Route 1, Brunswick." Stay on Route 1 as you drive along the midcoast, all the way through Waldoboro. Six miles beyond Waldoboro, turn left onto Route 90 and follow it for ten miles until it rejoins Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1 and continue for two miles toward Camden. The Blue Harbor House is on your left as you come into town.

    ALTERNATE ROUTES
Sometimes, especially in the afternoon, Route 1 gets congested at Bath and Wiscasset. One alternate route is to continue on Route 295 and 95 to Route 17 (Exit 112) in Augusta. Go east on Route 17 to Route 90 (about 35 miles). Turn left onto Route 90 to Route 1 (3 miles). Turn left onto Route 1 to the Inn.

Another alternate route is to continue on Route 295 and 95 to Gardiner (Route 126, Exit 51 ). Take Route 126 for about 3 miles, through Gardiner and across the river, turn RIGHT, and continue 100 yards to Route 226. Turn left onto Route 226 and continue to Route 17. Turn right onto Route 17 and follow it to Route 90. Turn left and continue to Route 1. Turn left on Route 1 to the Inn.

FROM THE NORTH: Follow Route 1 south to Camden and continue through the center of town. As you start up the hill at the southern end of town, the Blue Harbor House is on your right.

    Your Hosts
    Terry and Annette Hazzard

As experienced innkeepers and natural-born hosts, Annette and Terry truly enjoy welcoming guests and helping them to get the most out of their visits to Camden. At the Blue Harbor House, they have created their unique style of Down East hospitality with a Scottish accent.

Terry and Annette met while working aboard the cruise ship "Pacific Princess" (which played the part of the "Loveboat" in the TV series). When the ship's itinerary brought them to the Maine coast, they vowed to return to this spectacular corner of the US. First, however, they went home to Scotland, married, and Terry became bar manager at the five-star Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. They subsequently purchased a six-room B&B in Edinburgh and, two years later, bought a small hotel, opening for business when their daughter, Jade, was just three weeks old! Now that they are the owners of the Blue Harbor House, they are living their dream of owning an inn on the beautiful coast of Maine.
