East Room
Climb the stairs of your private outdoor entrance to the East Room. As you enter, you feel as if you are stepping back in time into an early american home with its limestone-stained beams, and lovely wide pine floorboards and painted hutch. Four windows provide eastern and southern exposure. A king bed is supplemented by a sofa/daybed which makes into a long twin bed for a third guest. The room also has a writing desk, a closet and a bathroom with pedestal sink, bidet, shower and bathtub. A private interior staircase provides internal access to The Inn. Finally, there is a pocket door in the room which can be opened to create a suite with its neighboring room, the Garden Room.
As with all our guest rooms, the East Room has a private bathroom, air conditioning (in-season), cable television, DVD (we have movies for all ages), clock radio, WI-FI and a telephone. All beds have reading lights or side tables with reading lamps. We also have CD players which our guests may use in their rooms. Firewood for this room is provided at no charge.

The South Room, the largest bedroom in The Inn, has a grey marble fireplace (not operational) and a sofa and chairs in a windowed alcove with a southwestern exposure. The South has a king bed and a large closet. The Suite's second bedroom, (The Pocket Room), used to be a small sitting room and has a double (full) bed and a side table.

The FO'C'SLE - pronounced 'Foëk sul
Just a short distance form the parking area, and off the stone terrace you wqill find the private outdoor entrance of The Fo'c'sle, a romantic lower level accommodation built in 1997. Fo'c'sle is a nautical shortening for the term "forecastle" - an area at the bow of the ship and often the sleeping quarters of sailors on square riggers. The Fo'c'sle is a lovely, spacious room with solid beams and wide pine floorboards. It's two-person heated Jacuzzi tub with mirrored backdrop situated in the bedroom overlooking a woodburning fireplace makes it one of The Inn's most popular accommodations. A hanging closet and spacious shelves behind the fireplace provide storage for guest clothing. There are a set of doors which adjoin The Fo'c'sle and its neighbor, the Captain's Cabin, which can be opened to create a suite. This accommodation, while not built to ADA specifications, is quite easily accessible to a handicapped person who is not wheelchair-bound, and the common areas of the Inn may be reached with a minimal number of steps.
As with all our guest rooms, The Fo'c'sle has a private bathroom, air conditioning (in-season), cable television, a VCR (we have movies for all ages), AM-FM clock radio/cassette player and a telephone. Garden Room - Fully accessible
The Garden Room is located on the first floor level, off the kitchen area with double doors for great sound protection. Because this room is handicap accessible, it has a private outdoor entrance with an access ramp which goes through garden gates to Washington Street. The Garden Room was built in the winter of 1995 with large beams, wide pine floorboards, and a lovely hutch with storage space for guest clothing - early American style complete with a wood burning fireplace to help keep you warm on a cold winter Maine night!
Windows provide southern and western exposure and a comfortable king size bed, which converts into twins, is supplemented by a sofa/daybed which makes into a long twin bed for a third guest.
