You are also only minutes away from Acadia National Park.Many activities are calling... enjoy the incredible beauty of Acadia National Park or take a day trip to the islands surrounding Mt. Desert. Or shop in downtown Bar Harbor and sample some of New England's crafts or Maine's wondrous food delicacies.

The small town of Aysgarth is located in Yorkshire, England, where Jane grew up and spent many wonderful summer vacations.
The inn offers wonderfully comfortable rooms, full hearty breakfasts and delightful afternoon refreshments. We have six unique guest rooms all with queen beds and air conditioning; all located just minutes from beautiful Acadia National Park. Aysgarth Station offers gracious and unpretentious personalized service to make every guest feel special.
Our charming inn is right downtown on a quiet side street, located conveniently close to Bar Harbor's busy waterfront, shops, restaurants, a classic Art Deco movie theater and the winding Shore Path walk; which wraps around the oceanfront and the remaining 'cottages' from days gone by.Relax and unwind on the front porch in our comfy rocking chairs, the third floor sun deck, or in the evening in front of the fireplace. Review your day with the other guests, the innkeepers, play with our two cats, Warwick, and Asticou, or plan tomorrows' adventure while watching a New England sunset.

What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn? We are best known for great food and informality.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit? The location: being walkable to everything you need and easy access to the ocean and Acadia National Park
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn? Being called “home” by guests
What’s the best kept secret about the area? It really isn’t expensive. Bar Harbor has a reputation of being costly, but it doesn’t need to be; That the Schoodic Peninsular and Winter is a season to visit.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area? This depends on the person so much, we tailor our suggestions to individual likes and needs. I can’t and wouldn’t give a canned “tour”.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn? We are within walking to pretty much everything except a mall.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area? Once again this isn’t important – what will work for my individual guest is what matters.
Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference? How many rooms does your inn have? We have 6 rooms.
Do you accept pets? No, as we have 2 cats.
